white, still, something not 'dry'..a lil fruity..
everytime I find one I like, that I can afford to drink..about 6 - 12 months later it will be unavailable :( |

the wine I was drinking was McWilliams.. apparently there is no longer anyone importing/distributing it in NZ

Hmm.. have you tried the rosemount?
I not long ago had a bottle of Taylors Promised land semillion sauv blanc that wasn't too bad either.... ( and a good price)...
lol.. then there's the next step up, in price, and harder to find...Taltarni, Tahbilk, and Blue Pyrenees .... ( the Pyrenees sem, sauv, blanc is excellent... ) |

The 'wine shop' is no longer so specialised.. has become more of a 'liquor store' outlet [previous owners used to actually 'know' their wines.. thses guys don't]
I am probably going to find more of a selection these days at my local Woolies store [& in a small town, that isn't saying much]
Not much chance of finding anything much around here . |

it seems strange no one is importing Mc Williams anymore...as far as I know.. it's exported all over the world....
lol.. I'm sure you could find someone ( a wine club etc) that would send you a case every few months....on the net...
Or I'll offer to do more research - taste wise - for you... lol |

Well.. the rosemount, mcwilliams, and Taylors are all usually easily found here.....
But there are a few really nice NZ whites.... lol.. just can't remember which! |

The McWilliams used to be at the supermarket..that is where I first got it [like the prev fav wine I had].. then the supermarket stopped stocking it & I could only get it from the wine shop..
I used to drink bubbly.. Ricadonna & similar.. but I don't always finish a bottle of wine.. & that is why I liked the still wines I found.. they were ok the next night or two.. if I only want a glass or two at a time. |

| Yeah, it is a bit quiet in here tonight. I'm just looking for lesson ideas so I don't go in on Monday morning empty handed! The teacher usually gives the prac students lessons to do but it shows professionalism if you go in there with ready-made lessons. |
