I'm trying to install a game for my kid. I bought the disc's and installed but now I need "a patch" or "a mirror" to run the game.
Or maybe need to change the firewall setting.
Does this happen with every game.
Does anyone know anything about this stuff? |

I'm installing the second disc now. Maybe it will have the patches on it.
That's my hope anyway. My kids have had pc's for a decade or so and I've never messed with them. did not need them for my work. Did not like to play with them.
Now he comes to me and wants me to get this game running. Its like me telling him to draw a vial of blood or something. lol |

| patches are just a last minute addition to the program's code to fix a few oversights/boo boos... sometimes on the last disk, or a separate one.. some you may need to download from their web site.. let me know how you go :) |

| hey LLA what does it mean when your laptop is going slow than speeds up. like my mouse doesnt move for a few secs and than speeds up. hard to describe but annoying |

| hmm have you run a few cleanout progs across it, like ccleaner, also what virus checker are you using?.. sometimes they slow you down if you have the checks running to often etc, and some are just plain resource hungry |
