Anyone who watches Fox news knows they are bias. They don't even make an effort to hide the fact that they are against liberals.

Of course they are bias. All of them are. FNC is just the only one that leans right. The rest have been left leaning for decades. My arguement is there is no difference between Fox and MSM. One leans right and the rest lean left.

That is not news. News is just the facts. Neutral.

I wish it were still that way. Unfortunately NONE of them are anymore.

A Shelia ..huh. Well I tell you what, considering the job men have done running the world for the last two thousand years, a woman could not do any worse:)

I agree..:) We could all just sit down over a nice hot cup of tea or coffee and work out our differences. Of course all world leaders would have to be women or it wouldnt work...lol

Your probably right. Power seems to bring out the worst in some people no matter their gender.

Oh pleeeeeeaaase! women? Do you even want to go into what men do when they are together...?

Ask Japan, Viet Nam, ask the jews, every atrocity committed in the last two thousand years can be laid at the feet of men.

I was kind of joking...

Granted, it was a bad joke, which is why I coughed, then ran.

In regards to your latter point - I question whether gender has anything to do with it (such claims certainly detract from the real causes of such conflict).

I know you were joking. So was I (kinda). lol

I think there is a dif. Women bring dif. strengths to the table and one is caretaker and peacemaker. Do you think women would have so easily condoned weapons of mass destruction? Or allowed the slaughter of 6 million before getting involved?

That's a little too deep for this time of day. LOL

Personally, yes. I think women are equally capable of such acts/behaviours.

Yes gentlemen women are capable of horrible acts as well, if not better, than men. But women have more compassion and empathy than men.

I'll answer your question with another question: what have you seen to suggest that on a grander scale, women have more empathy and compassion than men?

Re:Foreign Press on "Wimp House vs Fox N ... Reply to this message
To go back to your previous question. What I've seen that makes me think women are more compassionate than men.

I've seen hundreds of single mothers raise their kids in poverty while the father of these kids find themselves new women with less baggage that these men have to pay for.

I've seen women run animal rescue groups for everything from abused dogs to horses.

I've seen men walk away from the scene of accidents because they don't want to be bothered while women rush to the rescue.

That's just my personal experience.

Come on dark....this is satire. Videos and sound bites are switched and dubbed all the time in comedic parodies. Just like SNL. Jon Stewart IS funny, even if he does lean left. I like him much more then Steven Colbert, but they are still both just comedians.

WRONG ragz.

Yes The Daily Show is comedy but the facts behind the scoop are true.

Hannity used fake video to make bachmans rally seem MUCH MUCH larger than it actually was.

Fox "News"?

Pull the other one.

Hannity on Capitol rally coverage: 'We screwed up'
November 12, 2009 | 12:51 pm

Comedy Central's Jon Stewart, who approaches politics seriously, had called out Fox News Channel's serious Sean Hannity for showing video of a much larger "tea party" protest conducted in Washington on Sept. 12 in talking about a much smaller Capitol rally recently.

Hannity called back Wednesday night: Stewart was right -- and Hannity uttered some presidential words in fessing up:

"Although it pains me to say this, Jon Stewart, Comedy Central, he was right," Hannity said on his show Wednesday night.

"Now on his program last night, he mentioned that we had played some incorrect video on this program last week while talking about the Republican healthcare rally on Capitol Hill,'' Hannity said. "He was correct, we screwed up.

"We aired some video of a rally in September along with a video from the actual event. It was an inadvertent mistake, but a mistake nonetheless. So, Mr. Stewart, you were right.

"We apologize," Hannity said on air to Stewart. "But by the way, we want to thank you and all your writers for watching."

Re:Foreign Press on "Wimp House vs Fox N ... Reply to this message
*shrugs* Maybe it was a mistake, maybe it wasn't. To be honest Im pretty fed up with all news programs atm. I read a good blog the other day on this very thing I'll share with you. See what you think.

Admit it. We'd rather be entertained than educated. "That's the way it was" has been replaced by "This is the way it is to me." We look for opinions to bolster our own. Glenn Beck, Keith Olbermann, Bill O'Reilly, Rachel Maddow they're all playing to their audience (who, by the way, is a relatively small one. For all of its rating supremacy, Fox News is still watched by just three million people weekly during prime time, while MSNBC is seen by a little more than one million during the same time period).

Punditry and high school dramatics have replaced the presentation of facts. That's because we are a nation of people looking to be proven right rather than be informed. We predictably tune into the show that will support our world view rather than teach us about the world. Or we watch "Dancing with the Stars" while curled up in our Snuggies.

And the world is complex. Reality isn't just black and white. Or blue and red. The world , even the one within these borders, requires patience and objectivity to be understood. It also requires conversation with the ones with whom we disagree.

Re:Foreign Press on "Wimp House vs Fox N ... Reply to this message
But we don't talk to those people. We yell at them, chastise them, avoid them. We are as ideologically segregated in the year 2009 as we were racially divided a half century ago. We are a nation of opinionated blowhards living in our separate cable news silos, talking to only the people who agree with us. Preaching to our own converted.

A shrink once asked me, "Do you want be right or do you want to be happy?," to which I replied, "Being right makes me happy." Maybe so, but it doesn't make me any smarter. Right now, I'd trade a lot of being right for a little bit of knowledge. I'd also trade Fox News, MSNBC, and all the talk radio for one host whose only agenda is telling me what happened today.

Try CNN. Robin Mead in the am. You get the up to date news that is not slanted one way or another.

If you've never seen Bill Maur on HBO do it. You'll love him. Everyone who wants to hear the truth even when it hurts loves him.
He does not pull any punches. He's as quick to point out democrats f'ups as he is the republican.

I hate Fox news. (don't know if I said that before)
Hannady or what ever his name is came to WV for a rally set up by Massey Coal Co.
They are advocating mountain top removal. And rallying against Obama.
They expected 100,000 ppl to attend. About 200 showed up for the "shin dig" lol. It was a joke.
