| What is with rose. she seems to be the only character who doesn't have flashbacks or flashfowards. she really is the only insignifficant character left and i believe the only reason she is not dead yet is because she has a significence somewhere along the line (i don't know maybe she's in charge of everything also not that it has any relevance but i think that the group in the dinghy might end up somewhere aswell |

| There was one flashback episode that showed how they met, when Bernard ask her to marry him,there trip to Australia to see the psychic etc. |

| I don't understand. I thought Rose had said Bernard had gotten up to go to the restroom in the back of the plane before it crashed. Yet, when we see Bernard, he is up in a tree seatbelted to a seat next to a dead guy. How did he get in the seat???? |

| maybe he was on his way back to his seat when the turbulence hit...and managed to strap himself into a nearby seat before the plane broke apart.....what would you do? |

I would try to do that but that's pretty hard for an old guy like Bernard. I have a hard enough time buckling a seat belt when there's no turbulence let alone when the plane is breaking apart and everyone's oversized carry-on luggage is falling on my head!
I either heard it wrong or the writer's goofed. |

| It seems like Rose and Bernard are the only passengers w/o secrets and guilt. Amid a group of people in need of redemption, they seem to be the only ones who remain calm. Why does Rose want to go back to civilization, though, since her cancer seems to be gone? |

| Fear can make you strong, if bernard were scared he could strap himself into a seat. Also maybe they do have secrets they just aren't obvious! |

| Agreed 50, 60, 70 is the new 40. My point was simply that it would have been quite a feat for anyone to perform that act while the plane was going down. Plus whether, old or young, the natural reaction would have been to go back to the front to be with your wife or significant other. |

| Thank you. <G> Rose and Bernard would have to be among the most 'ordinary seeming', even 'nice' of the passengers. I always liked her from the beginning as she was so sure Bernard was alive. Very serene sort of woman, Rose. |
