Don't worry, you are not alone LDE. My bitty won't start downloading anything. Waaaaaaaah! It just sits there all red bar and nothing. Don't know how to fix it. Huffy said he told norton firewall to allow bitty but nothing.
TMT have you any compuspeak advice? preferably in monosyllables for the IT impaired, complete with subtitles? |

ssooo i wonder what will happen in Season 3... i reckon we should each put our predictions of what we think will happen - not in the first 6 week bit though... for the 16 eps straight...
ok my guess is that this year it will be revealed that the island isnt where it is meant to be. remember last years finale, Penelope found the island coz of the magnetic distrubance, well i think they will go there in a huge searchoperation, they will get ot where the island should be and they find nothing at all. OR maybe they will find the island but it will be not the one our survivors are on - EXACT smae island but just no people, no Dharma, no monster, nothing, just the empty island...

i reckon....i'm not sure what i reckon....the first 6 eps confused me too much.
i reckon the guys in the snowglobe are dharma scientists looking for the island, which was taken over by a bunch of rogue scientists (the "bad" others) who start using the island for their own evil purposes.
the good others are scientists and other involved people who know what the bad others are doing is...bad...and are attempting to take control again so they can contact the outside world to get help and get off the island.

I wont dare predict anything 'cause when you think you've worked out something some annoying little nuance goes and changes everything.
But just cause im reading about it at present it got me wondering what happened to the button and its function, seems a tad stange that in ep 1 it was the 'be all and end all' and now its just defunct? Or is it?
So this nice little scientist called Nikola Tesla you'd know him better for his work with AC current. Anyway he claimed he could produce a 'teleforce' weapon, a macroscopic charged particle beam projector. After the war he thought it could "end all wars" by protecting certain areas from aerial attacks etc.
So this sort of fits what was happening to the island, what i want to know is what's happening now are they still "invisible" or has their cloak gone for good?

OK My turn...
I think that Penelope Widmore found out that her dad sent Des away on a "round the world race" to make sure he ended up on the island. That way Des would be out of his daughters life for good. Mr Widmore (not sure of his first name) is one of the financial backers for Dharma and knows what is going on. Penelope got suspicious of his business dealings and did a lot of research. She knows that if she looks for a magnetic phenomena she might just find her beloved desmond. |

Now as for what the Island actually is...
Someone found it by accident or was looking for it, maybe dharma, and discovered it's magnetic properties. They decided for what ever reason that they could use this Island for their experiments. The others on the Island know a bit about what is going on, but I think they are left in the dark a bit. My prediction for this season is that there will be some of the others who decide that they don't want to be part of this anymore and will join with our survivors to try and find a way off the Island. I also predict a new love interest for Jack. Won't say who in this particular thread though.
Oh and I also think maybe the others might try to capture Sun now that she is pregnant. |

Hey, Kt. This seems to fit in with the general consnsus, doesn't it. Expanding the theory, some of us think that the island's properties also include Smokey (Now there's a name not heard in a while!) The previous islanders were perhaps a more advanced race. Remember Homer's statue. And the experiments tapped into the EM field? C'est possible?
I also agree that some of the others will defect, but maybe because of a crisis, and they think they're better off with the Losties. Great cliffhanger for series 4! Just a thought. |

Wow. the lost sap is beginning to flow again. I won't make any predictions because I'm sure to put my dainty little foot in my rosebud mouth and spew forth an unintentional spoiler.
