Re:The Island Retirement Village
Kez- no probs; bossy and funny, so you can get away with it! I really wanted it to be real, physical & possible, but I'm just not convinved. One too many sci-book and a psych degree swayed me to the dark side...sorry. Convert me...tell me it's real.

Re:The Island Retirement Village
Yeah LDE, I wonder the same thing too re: a satellite.

But why would Dr Candle say the computer was only to be used to enter the numbers, and why would that part of film be spliced? Is it important? I know a lot of things have a meaning in the show, but I'm starting to wonder if some of them are thrown in to confuse us and throw us off track?

Re:The Island Retirement Village
I think that's why I want it to be real - the whole sci-fi thing has been done so many times!!!! How many books and movies etc have you seen about alternate realities, parallel universes, cloning, things like that?

Not to mention the parallel universes where one is evil and one is good, which sort of fits in with the good/bad theme with Lost....

Re:The Island Retirement Village
i think they are definitely trying to confuse us...they are having a ball at our expense and yes I think it must be important, very important. Guess we'll find out next ep. after Michael's used it to talk to someone. Which may also be the naughty "others", trying to sabuetage things again

Re:The Island Retirement Village
Ah no real as in happening to us, but real as in, something that could very possibly happen and we would never know about it. Um like a big conspiracy kind of thing...Umm...or more like, secret research, the sort of thing governments and agency's could be doing, and normal people wouldn't even know about it. Kind of thing...

Slurp! I with you Kez - I want it to be different. I'm spending time thinking about it, reading this stuff, etc etc. The twin thing sounds interesting and real......and possible.

I don't want to see the new Mission Impossible movie because I am so over Tom Cruise. He's a bit creepy.

Re:The Island Retirement Village
LDE breaks open a packet of jatz stix and dip and a nice scotch....one a day you'll live to be a hundred dearies!

Not sure about the mechanics of the twin thing working as per srsen's suggestion...implanted memories yes. Perhaps the memories aren't even their own, but those of their twin counterparts?

I'm over Tom too btw. Feel sorry for Katie being sucked in there! Those scientologists are scarey man! If you read up on their motis operande its smax of something akin to the Illuminati! But that would give it a very interesting twist>

Re:The Island Retirement Village
Hey, that idea isn't bad at all. Could it be possible for the memories to be taken from the twin that was left on the island, if that is indeed what has happened, or something along those lines...I need to think about this when I'm not so tired. Hrmmm...

Oh wait...wouldn't it be more like, the "survivor's" we're seeing at the moment, are actually the twins that were left behind wherever, and their memories are those of the people in the crash, which are the twins that we shipped out into normal society, or left with their parents, whichever way you look at it....?
