Re:The Island Retirement Village
Partee partee partee! I would dance around in my pantless state but I am bruised and sore from being dragged around Sydney last night and having the train doors try to bi-sect me. The things i have to do to keep srsen from the darkside.
The stories I could tell, phew!

Re:The Island Retirement Village
Srsen, O Dis-Banded One, we need to talk.
*T leads Srsen to a nice chair over looking the lawn of the IRV, slips him a valium in his afternoon cup of tea with his half of a scotch-finger biscuit, and tries very hard not to wear her famed 'We-need-to-talk' face*

I am very happy for you - handing out dark side head bands for your 'faux-spoiler' friends to wear. It's nice to be part of a group and having something to wear that distinguishes you from all the other groups, in 4-6 weeks time Matt will have his plastic ring, pants and autographed photo of myself, that's what groups do, that's the human condition, we have an innate drive to feel a part of something bigger, some turn to religion, others take up a hobbie, but MUST YOU keep making the headbands from the legs of my darkside pants?
I'm not too keen on wearing darkside cut-offs. I'm having to wear leg warmers to keep the cold off my legs.
I look like a git from an 80's film clip.

Re:The Island Retirement Village
Is it just me or is this all very familiar... I'm looking up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eschatology end of the world stuff - all different religions have their own teachings about the end of the world, and this was under Buddhism... I'm going to have a play with matching up the amoral concepts to our Losties and see what i get... but till then, have a read... I also thought it was cool they mention Rousseau, the philospher at the bottom of the page
Buddha predicted that his teachings would disappear after 500 years. According to the Sutta Pitaka, the "ten moral courses of conduct" will disappear and people will follow the ten amoral concepts of theft, violence, murder, lying, evil speaking, adultery, abusive and idle talk, covetousness and ill will, wanton greed, and perverted lust resulting in skyrocketing poverty and the end of the worldly laws of true dharma. During the Middle Ages, the span of time was expanded to 5,000 years...

Re:The Island Retirement Village
... and... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maitreya
Maitreya Bodhisattva (Sanskrit) or Metteyya Bodhisatta (Pâli) is the future Buddha in Buddhist eschatology. Maitreya is a bodhisattva who some Buddhists believe will eventually appear on earth, achieve complete enlightenment, and teach the pure dharma.
One of the earliest mention of Maitreya is a Sanskrit text, the Maitreyavyâkaraṇa (The Prophecy of Maitreya), stating that Gods, men and other beings will worship Maitreya and:
"will lose their doubts, and the torrents of their cravings will be cut off: free from all misery they will manage to cross the ocean of becoming; and, as a result of Maitreya's teachings, they will lead a holy life. No longer will they regard anything as their own, they will have no possession, no gold or silver, no home, no relatives! But they will lead the holy life of chastity under Maitreya's guidance. They will have torn the net of the passions, they will manage to enter into trances, and theirs will be an abundance of joy and happiness, for they will lead a holy life under Maitreya's guidance." (Trans. in Conze 1959:241)

Re:The Island Retirement Village
with static girl safely stored into a antistatic bag things slowly come back to normal in the village but the uneasiness remains as good has only won one small battle. the evil still remains and the village residents must remain ever vigilant of what might change at anytime.

Re:The Island Retirement Village
a little tear trickles down his cheek as he quickly wipes it away before any of the residents can see, as he doesn't want them to know that under that ruff exterior, hes just a big softy.
