Re:The Island Retirement Village
yeah thats right.
just rememebered, the way Eko told the story of John The Baptist and how he baptised Jesus and the doves came down, etc, etc. is that somehow saying that AAron is like jesus on some new level??

Re:The Island Retirement Village
Maybe the dream was sent by the light (Good) side of what is on the island, that could be why the religious theme of the dream and the dove was in there to show that Aaron needed to be baptised himself.

There is no doubt that Aaron is a special baby maybe not as special as Jesus but will eventually lead the light side to victory.

Re:The Island Retirement Village
Well the producers have said they have enough ideas to be able to carry this series for 6 or 7 seasons so perhaps as he grows he will get some almost supernatural talents (God knows what but this is LOST so it could be anything)

Maybe that is why the others have taken Walt he has already shown that he is "different" and has special talents of his own, they may have taken him to turn him to the dark side so he will lead them in the future. We may even see Walt and Aaron becoming the main weapons for each side in future confrontations.

(A bit far fetched but who knows with LOST)

Re:The Island Retirement Village
yeah as i was readin that post matt i started thinking what you ended with. Walt V Aaron in battle of Good V Evil. it kinda has a Star Wars twist to it in a way. is possible but unlikely i guess. maybe they will lead the Good fight and unite their powers to overcome the evil? or MAYBE all the survivors will turn to Evil and be used as pawns to push Evil on the world? i for one think they all have some kind of power which has been inbued to them by Hanso himself. could be why they are on the island. to re-propagate their powers, to refine and rediscover them, and then Hanos will use them to do bad stuff and push HIS nu world ordder?

Re:The Island Retirement Village
wow that is a good theory, all the survivors having their own special talents to use once discovered and refined.. I like it.

Also i have added a theory to "the Hanso Foundation" section titled "The Hanso Lab" have a read of that and tell me what you think.

Re:The Island Retirement Village
just visiting...more pureed food for thought, the book I'm reading (sole survivor) Rose was studying the genetic make up of those people with special talents (ie telekinesis, telepathy, psychic powers etc) then grew test tube babies with this dna...with mind blowing results, she saw how poorly these children were being kept and studied so she kidnapped one of them, the company caused the plane to crash but the child, using her powers helped them survive...play with this how you will, Pix xx

Re:The Island Retirement Village
I have read that book and it is a good theory but i dont think it would be correct as Dean Koonts would sue the pants off the creators of LOST if they were using his book as the basis behind their series.

Re:The Island Retirement Village
ok only a couple of points, still got more to watch but have to go out soon so will have to wait...so far i have:

- angel's in picture/tapestry on wall of house as child - same sort of style as claire & karen in charlie's "dream".

- mum say's charlie is "special" and somedau he's going to get them out of there, all of them!

- vision of liam in baby nappy, saying "yeah baby bro, save us"

- goes to charlie playing piano on beach...aaron crying...aaron IN piano..."in the music"??? notice charlie is tuning his guitar when aaron cries another time and is floating in his cradle?

- FATE is on charlie's knuckles here...was looking for them but didn't notice them after this. Specific shot of charlie's knuckles, actually, so we see it. FATE wasn't on his knuckles when he lit the fire.

- kate really bugs me.

- karen & claire in charlies "dream" - 2 v. special women in his life????

- didn't notice the plane crash (as i've seen in some web shots) but you DO hear it and there's a flash as it crashes. white dove comes out of trees - pretty sure it's only one dove and the darkness is it's shadow (although that could be relevant in itself). no shadow as it flies over the water.

- again, no FATE on fingers.

will post more as i have it :-)

Re:The Island Retirement Village
matt and srsen, thanks for your comments. I pose another question. Has anyone thought about where the "others" originally came from? I think that most people would probably think re the Hanso mob, but maybe earlier than that. I am thinking perhaps survivors from the "Black Rock" slave ship who have been changed somehow on the island. Remember that last week, they said to Jack and co. "This is our island!". That does not exactly say "Hanso mob" to me.

Comments?

Re:The Island Retirement Village
hey lostin_aus. you could be right. but i think the majority of the others are part of the DHARMA Initiative experiments. Researchers and subjects both. I think some of them are "free" because of the "incident". Possibly...
