is there any significance to the music besides that of Michael Giacchino you play on the show such as 'Make your own kind of music' or 'Outside'?
Yes, the Mama Cass song is something that we picked very specifically not only because it lyrically felt right but knowing what we know about the hatch, we have limitations of what year records stop in the hatch and there's something about Mama Cass' music that is very haunting given her own personal history but that just felt like the perfect song and we selected it thusly. There's some other music coming up in the show you might want to keep your eyes peeled for Geromino Jackson's audacious debut, they're a band that not alot of people have heard about, they just pressed one very obscure album in the mid to late 70's.
question
why do we see no birds on the island and yet we can still hear them?
have to declare everything you bring in to Hawaii - problem with snakes... can't just have birds in the show.
is it accurate to say we haven't seen a bird??? we had the giant bird that appeared when they were trekking in last season’s finale to/from(?) the black rock. What did that bird sound like, Carlton? 'Hurley, Hurley'. 'it's the Hurley bird.' |

when creating the character of John Locke, did you make a point of drawing some of his personal philosophies from the philosopher John Locke?
despite our joking earlier about Locke and Eko sharing certain letters in their names, when we pick the names for our characters there's a lot of thought that goes into it, we puller our characters names from varying influences sometimes more obvious than others, like calling Jack, Jack Shephard, him being obviously the sort of leader of these people, but with Locke and certainly Rousseau those characters were sort of based on the philosophers after which they were named. Hopefully it will inspire the kids, if you like John Locke on the show or Rousseau, the crazy French chick, maybe it will inspire you to read some philosophy.
Question
Why did you waste 4 weeks to try to open that hatch in the first season, Boone dies in the process and we come to find out that there's a back door like 20 feet away that really isn't hidden. And if you say that that door could only be opened from the inside too then i would say that it would have been easier to open that door than the actual hatch?
You know what, you're right, we're busted. Only 2 conclusions, either we're idiots or the characters are idiots. you nailed us.

| they obviously keeping a close eye on them and knew of the launch of the raft and went out to stop them. it could be that there is another person that was on the plane in the group of 42 passing on information. locke would be one canidate as hunting allows him to go freely to and from the camp. |

| Also to add to my theory of the survivors being in a virtual world how about Locke and how he's not in a wheelchair anymore!!?? hmmm that couldnt be just coincidence...And Mr Eko.. is he really a priest? and was it his brother that crashed the other plane they found?? |

When ever i hear that 'make your own kind of music' song it freaks me out now...
if they are referring to famous philosophers in time i think its an insult how they made the 'crazy' french lady have the name rousseau <-- he was a cool guy... everytime i hear the name rousseau i used to think of all that romantic poetry .. but now all i think of is that crazy french women |

| i just thought.. u know that guy who was in the hatch to start off with... he doesn't remember meeting Jack in the stadium you know when Jack was running up and down the stairs and he met that guy.. that could go with the whole 'every survivor has a twin' theory.. because the guy doesn't recognise jack becuase maybe.. he hasn't actually met Jack.. maybe it was his twin that met Jack so yeh... confusing eh?? |

| maybe the guy that hurley speaks to in the mental institution who gives him the numbers that are on the hatch, maybe that guy (in the institution) also has a twin and they figured out the whole researching project on the island and that is why he is in the institution...coz the army/researching people are covering it up........... |

We made the newspapers guys. Page 13 of Saturday's West Australian newspaper. Entitled "viewers tell 7 to get lost."
The writer of the column describes how viewers were upset with the recap episode as a re-hash with plugs for MI3. and I quote..Angry viewers flooded the internet with complaints, even blaming Tom Cruise"
