Re:The Island Retirement Village
Airbourne would mean in this case a "Paratrooper" Infantry means foot soldier.

A note the younger viewers from the sponsers of this thread....under no circumstances do we advocate the use of drugs and alcohol. We are just playing! You have to be over 90 to indulge anyway!

Re:The Island Retirement Village
never have any idea what is going on in my head, it won't tell me no matter how nicely i ask!!
partly me just being pedantic and making sure that all the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed.
and, if Hurley was in a mental Institute, for what we don't know yet, things might not be all there. I was watching the pilot episode today and heard him mention that so i thought id' look it up. and, many thanks to you, it's legit, so i can worry about other menial tidbits of information!

Re:The Island Retirement Village
another thing that's been bugging me. at the end of season 1 when Danielle was saying the others are coming because they saw the pilar of black smoke, there was such a mad rush to make sure everyone was safe and sound, but no one came. did the other's change their mind? was there something on telly that night so they decided to stay in??

oh my goodness i can't believe the amount of posts that have gone up in 24 hours, unbelievable!!!

and there are some FANTASTIC ideas, srsen yours is the only one i can remember at the moment.

in answer to your question thingy re: mr eko and they opening/closing eye - i have not seen this picture but does it have any relevance that mr eko was there when the glass eye was found?

i am so tired today and after reading (well trying to read) all those posts my head is absolutely thumping. where's nurse betty with the morphine. i'd prefer tablets please, IM injections hurt too much...

Re:The Island Retirement Village
i've come up with another theory.

*rach clears her throat*

we're all under surveilance by scientologists and we're going to be taken to the santa rosa institute of mental health, where they will attempt to further brainwash us in the manner of "lost" into becoming followers of scientology. we will be tempted with images of tom (little do they know how many people have gone of him in recent months) and promises of never suffering from sinus infections or colds again. we'll also be told that we can make as much noise during childbirth and feel very relieved at hearing this.

Re:The Island Retirement Village
no really, i like the whole idea that we're seeing flashbacks.

i was also thinking along the lines of them not so much as having therapy to remember, but are they being injected with something that enhances memories or something anyway, and then being observed at how......oh wait giant brainwave, might be way off as it's late and like i said, i am so tired tonight...

um...ok where to start...

go back to the twin's theory. 2 sets seperated at birth. one set "kept" by D.H.A.R.M.A etc, the others out into the real world. all of them somehow made to get on the flight 815 to LAX from Sydney (family memebers, people of influence in their lives, involved in this). The plane is crashed - a staged crash - our survivors taken hostage and something i don't know quite what, is removed and implanted into the twins that have been kept from society...or srsen, this is where your clones idea could come in and make a bit more sense than twins....um lost my train of thought. basically, memories from someone else are placed in another person that looks the same, and they are being monitored and studied to see if the memories take, and what memories do or don't take and how they gel possibly.

BUT i really like the idea that the people that are dying are people that have responded to some sort of treatment.

Head thumping too much to think..singing out...may not be back until tomorrow evening...working in the afternoon and doing stuff in the morning...

Re:The Island Retirement Village
*rach wanders out of the room, crashing into furniture and walls, holding her head in her hands and muttering incoherently to herself. She suddenly bursts into loud song, singing "TOMORROW, TOMORROW, IS ANOTHER DAY...!" before stumbling into her room and collapsing on her bed*

Re:The Island Retirement Village
just wanted to clarify an earlier statement of mine - when i said the show could go anywhere - just meant that although there are specific clues leading up to a very specific thing/ending (god i wish i knew what it was) , it's still open ended enough that the producers/writers could easily alter it if they wanted it to. how would we know????
