Do you think somehow penny and desmonds little boy could be
charlie charlie because desmond is special in some way i know thay could of named him after charlie but i think there just might be more to it! just a theroie ppl |

| I dont really see how this is possible (then again, we are talking about Lost). I mean, there was no reference to [older] Charlie being adopted or anything, and his flashbacks included his mother and brother. Can anyone remember if charlies mothers name was ever mentioned? |

| very interesting i think that may be possible and maybe they didn't name there son after charlie the lostie but after Charles pennies father (why i don't know) and in charlies flash back on the last episode of season 3 when he is afraid to jump in the water you can hear someone saying Desmond (Desmond as a child? if so who did he know during his child hood or is charlie Desmond 0-0 or maybe they are saying it to charlies father in the water Desmond) also when Desmond turns the key he says: ill see you in another life brother what other life does he mean the after life [meaning Desmond will die :( ] or a new life actually being born again as his son |

Well, we dont know charlies parents are his actual blood parents. And we know there is alot of time travel going on with the show.
Is it not possible that something happens to Des/Penny and their son Charlie is sent back in time and is adopted or found by charlies "parents"?
Just a thought |

I don't think Charlie is Penny and Desmond's son. I think they named their son Charlie because Charlie screamed out Desmond's name when he was talking to Penny via video conference, which confirmed with Penny that Desmond was alive, and Charlie blew himself up so he could save Desmond's life.
Charlie made it possible for Penny and Desmond to see each other again, so I think they named their son Charlie out of honour and memory to Charlie |
