not sure if this should be in spoilers or spoiler theories, but thought this was safest bet.
The war is between good and bad. Or black and white is another term. I remember back in first season when Locke was teaching Walt how to play backgammon. There are two players. One side is light, and the other side is dark. In the first scene of the finale we see Jacob and the other man. One in white one in black. One of them fighting for good the other fighting for bad. In the first scene we also see the black rock out in the water. I didn't quite understand the conversation between DSM and Jacob but I got the drift that Jacob had “bought” people to the island before and it hadn't turned out well. I think this is because DSM is trying to start up a bad army almost. And he was trying to make it seem like something else like they were doing ti themselves but Jacob saw through his plan. Thats why DSM wants Jacob dead because Jacob, as the good one, has always had priority over the island. Jacob was the leader, but DSM wanted to over rule him.
everyone on the Ajira flight 316 knew what was going to happen. I think that the people who weren't part of the O6 have previously been on the island before. Perhaps on the black rock. When Jacob visits the woman you know their old friends. Jacob only leaves the island for important reasons. He wanted her to return to the island to help him fight in this “war” thats going to happen she then recruited others who knew the answer to the question. The questions represents Jacob. He is their leader.
sorry if this confuses anyone, i was reading the message board after i watched the finale and noticed there wasnt many posts on the Ajira crash. |

Agree with the white/dark thing, it has been a constant throughout all seasons, remember the rocks Locke found, I think with the adam and eve bodies, also in someones dream, not sure who's Locke had one black and white white eye...
Regarding Ilana, not sure if she was originally from the Black Rock, I think she was somehow recruited to join the "new generation" of people needed to save the island.
I also want to know how Jacob brings people to the island, how did he get the Black Rock to find/see the island? The conversation between the two of them seems to be that Jacob keeps bringing them to the island, they create havoc and then things go back to the way they are and then it all loops again?? I am of the theory that life on the island is one big loop that keeps happening again and again and again... Here is the conversation again (Jacob & Dark Shirt Guy (DSG as I like to call him):
Jacob - "I take it you're here because of the ship"
DSG - "I am. How did they find the island?"
Jacob - "You'll have to ask them when they get here"
DSG - "I dont have to ask, you brought them here. Still trying to prove me wrong aren't you..."
Jacob - "You are wrong."
DSG - "Am I? They come, fight, they destroy, they corrupt, it always ends the same."
Jacob - "But it only ends once, anything that hapens before that, is just progress."
DSG - "Do you have any idea how badly I want to kill you?"
Jacob - "Yes."
DSG - "One of these days sooner or later, I'm going to find a loophole my friend"
Jacob - "Well when you do I'll be right here."
DSG - "Always nice talking to you, Jacob."
Jacob - "Nice talking to you to."
This is the line I am most interested in: "But it only ends once, anything that hapens before that, is just progress." What does it all mean???? |

yea now thinking back on it i can remember several times when black and white has come into it...
i think the time when locke had the black and white eyes was when boone was drugged by him. not positive but i think that was the time.
"But it only ends once, anything that hapens before that, is just progress."
i agree, that line is confusing... maybe it means that, like you said, the island basically just repeating itself over and over in a big loop but it can be broken. everytime the island does something slightly different to the original path it makes "progress" and one day someone strong enough can come and break that circle.
and maybe the could be the DSG killing jacob and creating this bad war.
maybe im getting really off track with the whole evil war the but i watched a couple of youtube clips on next season and most were quite dark and creepy. |

"i think the time when locke had the black and white eyes was when boone was drugged by him."
No, that was a nightmare Claire had.
Locke mentioned white and black in one of the very first episodes though, when telling Walt about Backgammon. |

Yeah, the war is between Dark Locke and Widmore. Surely, Widmore will get back to the island sooner or later. Desmond will be back for sure.
Seeing that they found Locke's real body in the casket, the "good guys" and Richard will hide the body in plain sight. They'll find out what Dark Locke wants to do next. Everything else.....is just progress. ;)
Season 6 will be about finding thier destines. Not sure anyone else seen the short trailer for it. Has to be Jack's eyes again. |
