| I haven't seen anything about that on any lost spoiler sites. I have however seen hints that Jack may cause the incident just not HOW he does or IF he does. |

| I actually don't believe that Jack will cause the Incident. I think that the people who don't want him to succeed in destroying the electromagnetic anomaly (Kate, Sawyer) will cause the Incident. Which I hope will be taking place in the Incident Room from the LOST video game. I am anxious to find out what the Incident is though - I think the result of the released energy will launch the characters 30 years or more into the future. |

Spoliers
I was shocked about Locke. I am guessing that man who said that He will find a loophole to kill Jacob is smokey. I will also bet the Christian is still dead like John and it was smokey who has been pretending to be Christian and Locke. |

Gotta say, haven't been loving season 5, but the season finale was brilliant. So many answers. But so many questions as well!
Can't wait for season 6! |

OMG fn god!!!! JULIET!!! sweet juliet!! i told ppl if she dies i would cry and she died and guess what when she let go of sawyer i was fn crying and now i am so furious i am mad mad mad mad!!!!!!
but let me say what a fantastic finish to season 5..... so after all this time Jacob lies in the shadow of the statue??
John Locke isnt really John locke, he is the guy from the start of the episode who wanted to kill Jacob but could not find a loop hole to do so.... and he was in the hatch ilana and bram were carrying!!
So jacob visited everyone, and he is the one that wrote the lists in season 1 and 2???
omg i am still like in a zone of disbelief, and didnt not expect the season 2 end that way...... at least Juliet was the last thing i saw before she probally dies!!!! |

| sgjorgioski, Juliet was my favorite character, and they made her fall, not in a quick death way, but a long and emotional way. It was great to see Sawyer show his emotion for her "I love you so much!" I was crying so hard! and was like "NO NO NO" to the screen. |

Juliet's death was a death the island demanded. It was her destiny to detonate the bomb. That is the reason the island would not let her leave. If that Bomb doesn't detonate, it becomes the Fail Safe switch that Desmond turns. Since it's been detonated, then there's no reason for Desmond to be there.
So have they altered time? I think it has. |

| I think that the incident is exactly what happened in the finale, and what miles says is correct, nothings changed, they did exatly what happened originally, desmond will come to the island and everythin will play out as before |

i think its pretty clear that the incident is exactly what they caused by detonating the bomb. Because if it wasnt, and the island no longer exists.. its going to be pretty hard for them to fill up 16 episodes. i mean what could the final season be if that was the case other then a bunch of people living their lives that have never met? clearly the island hasnt been destroyed.
im more interested to know what it means now that jacob is dead? if jacob made richard never age, then will this still be so with jacob now dead etc etc? |

Wow, that was absolutely brilliant television and probably the most revealing episode yet.
I no longer think of the island as powerful or magical, I think of Jacob and the unnamed evil one as two powerful, perhaps godlike, entities.
The bad guy is the smoke monster. He's dressed in black, obviously powerful and wants to kill. Smokey is black and kills if you disobey. The whole time we've thought it kills if you disobey the island/jacob but now we know it kills if you disobey IT. As in, the bad guy.
This whole time we thought Jacob lived in the cabin, but the bad guy did. AND this whole time Locke's been believing he's following the right man, when really, he was following the evil one. Another tragic turn in Locke's life/death. |

I also think Jacob has something planned which is why he basically let himself be killed.
Kind of amazing to find out Ben was never special, no leader and never destined for anything except becoming a tool for Mr Baddie to kill Jacob with. Same with Locke.
Technically, same with Jack, too, since his silly little plan wouldn't have worked unless Juliet bashed the bomb.
"Juliet's death was a death the island demanded. It was her destiny to detonate the bomb. That is the reason the island would not let her leave."
She chose to stay, the island was going to let her leave...she was given many options to leave or not go near the swan site but she herself made her destiny "live together and die alone" then she did... |

I agree it was so sad to see Juliette die, I kept saying to myself she won't die, she'll be fine - right up until she died!!!!!!!! It was such a great episode(s), great to see Jacob, I admit I didn't think he was real for while there. So sad to see that Lock was just used again, like he has been his whole life, he just blindly followed everything and he was "wrong" about it all. He wasn't chosen to lead, he thought he was, the seed was planted by Ben when they first captured him, that he was special, that Ben was coming to get him, but was he or was that Ben manipulating Locke. Then Locke does all the time travelling and tells Richard, I am going to be the leader, even Richard doesn't see it, and asked Jack, who of course has come round to finally thinking like Locke, but it was just smokey manipulating everyone, Locke was a puppet, yet again.
I was actually a bit shocked when I saw Johns body in the crate, I wasn't expecting that, I did believe he was actually alive again. So good to have not been spoilt.
What do you think about Hurley, there is something about him. Why did Jacob go and see the 815ers? Did you notice that he touched them all, did that mean anything? Hurley he went and saw after they returned from the island, not before as he did with the rest of them, and told him he was special, but that he didn't have to go back, he made it Hurleys choice, he also left the guitar, what is in that damn thing??????
Loved seeing Sawyer and Jack fight, I really didn't know who I wanted to win. Afer hearing what Miles had to say, I believe exactly that, that the bomb is the incident and that Jack made sure everything will go ahead as it always did. What's done is done!!!!????
Looking forward to a few more discussions with all you guys on the subject in the weeks to come (god what will be do without lost!) |

| I totally agree, the incident WAS Jack dropping the bomb, the incident WAS Juliet hitting the bomb with a rock, everything will play out again, but some things may be different....I think they will remember their time on the island, and will continue to try and change it. |
