Spoilers ahead, please don't read if you haven't seen the finale, well wait a minute what are you doing in SPOILER theories? lmfao anyway to my theory.
As we see in Dharma-ville people can have babies just fine EXAMPLE Horace and what's her name giving birth to ETHAN. But as we see in "the incident" a large amount of electromagnetism is exposed to the island, causing the male sperm count to almost triple being brought to "attention" if you catch my drift, causing Jin to not be infertile anymore and impregnate Sun. Obviously electromagnetism is affecting pregnancies on the island, because CLUE Claire never went into the hatch did she? she had baby Aaron, maybe the mysterious "sickness" he started to get in Series 2 was a reaction to the electromagnetism being released in his system.
