 confused about the flashes |

ok so, the flashes stopped and sawyer and the others have been stuck for 3 yrs. but... when the plane comes to the island, jack, kate and the rest get caught in the last flash and end up back with sawyers group, which was 3 yrs
after the flashes stop. does this mke sense or am i missing somehtng completely. and if the flashes stopped when locke left turned the wheel, then locke has never actually been off the island, he left in the last flash, then arrived in the last flash from the plane? lol time travel never makes much sense |

No, Jack, Kate and Hurley (and Sayid) got flashed to the island in an entirely seperate flash to the one Sawyer and co went in. Sawyer and friends ended up in 1974 then stayed on the island for three years. THEN Jack and friends came back.
Either way, it's been three years for all the characters since the oceanic 6, frank and des left the island last season.
Yes, the flashes stopped after Locke turned the wheel...at least until Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sayid were close enough for the island to flash them to 1977.
*Spoilers ahead for tonight's ep and the next one*
Locke turned the wheel in some ancient time (remember he was underground with Christian while Sawyer and co were looking at the full four toed statue). Then the island flashed to 1974 and Locke flashed to 2007. So he was off island for about 2 months, I think. |
