I don't think this has any spoilers, but I'll put it here in case it does.
I think I've figured out who Jacob is :)
Following the Bible references with names, I think Jacob is Christian's dad, because Aaron is Jacob's great-grandson in the Bible. And, I think Ben is Christian's brother, and I saw on another board that someone thought Widmore was also Christian's brother, I think he is too :) I could imagine Ben and Widmore being brothers. What do you all think? |

| Yeah, I thought that was interesting. I also thought it was interesting that both Ben and Locke were born a month early, and that both their mothers' names were Emily. |

| Roger or Emily don't have anything to do with biblical connection, I never said they did. I said Emily was the name of both Ben and John Locke's mothers. |

| I think this is a good theory, as the Biblical Benjamin's mother died in childbirth, just like Ben Linus's mum Emily. Although ben's father appears to be Roger, unless Jacob somehow impregnated Emily without him knowing. Perhaps the names are simply a kind of symbolism representing the relationship between Jacob and Ben on the island |
