Did you see the sand that was surrounding the hut
my theories is that ben put it their to keep Jacob from leaving the Hut
EG: the show supernatural the brothers put sand to kept spirits out so the sand must keep Jacob in the hut
and Jacob was the leader of the others.. |

Yeah its ash surrounding Jacob's cabin, I bet its just there to stop it moving, Ben probably broke the ash circle so that Locke wouldn't find the cabin to get help from Jacob. Eventually though they needed to find the cabin so meh.
I don't reckon Jacob is the monster, in fact I'm not even going to try and guess what Jacob is because I'd probably be totally wrong.
He isn't walt but I read somewhere that somebody thought that Matthew Abaddon was Walt because of time travel stuff and because he addressed Locke as 'Mr. Locke' |

I agree that the ash is probably there to try and keep Jacob in one place. And I do know what the smoke monster is-

It is the by-product of the time travel experiments that the Drama Initiative took. This perfectly explains why Ben doesn't know what the smoke monster is, because it was made before he was a part of the Dharma Initiative.
But I have no idea how he knows how to summon it. |

Jacob is Jack Sheapard from the future. He is trying to undo the mistakes that he made and make sure that everyone stays on the island. That is why he said to lock 'Help me'.
On the episode 'cabin feaver' that is why Christian Sheapard can speak for jacob... because it is his own son. |

Have you seen the episode called the 'constant'. Some people on the island[Desmond for instance] can travel back in time. So that is how Jack can be in two places at once.Also didn't you hear at the end of season three Jack saying "We have to go back Kate". This ment they wern't ment to leave the island. Jack is now trying to keep them from leaving from the future.
And it's not like you have any theories on who Jacob is.If you do, post them up. |

Thanks lostaholic fan... That puts a giant hole in my theory.
- Maybe in order to save his friends from leaving the island Jack was Jacob before the plane crash only to have a hold over Ben. Now because he has some influence on the island, he is trying to keep his people from leaving. |

it prooved it last epo when lock went to talk to them and asked are u jacob?
he answered.. no im christan but can take his place..
all the times we think we see jacob is christan..

I doubt it is a by-product from time travel experiments, the ancient people on the island didn't have time travel, the door Ben went through was obviously ancient. I bet DI utilised to for their own purposes of scaring people to stay in their stations and built the vents around the island for smokey. Also on the blast door map it said that smokey was malfunctioning. The creators confirmed when blast door mentioned cerberus as smokey's name.
Jacob isn't Jack either and if he was that would completely ruin lost. Jack is a doctor as well, he would love technology, not do some crazy poltergeist psycho stuff when a light is switched on. |
