Re:IRV Spoiler Theories Reply to this message
ooooh, seeing Richard in a different light here... (in a somewhat disjointed incoherent way)

Richard met up with Locke a few times through his life to see if Locke was special. Possibly to see if Locke would indeed become the leader of the Others.

Richard told Ben that Jacob lived in the cabin (and didn't tell him he'd moved to the statue) so Ben would later take Locke to see 'Jacob' in the cabin.

Locke hears the 'Help Me' voice in the cabin. Not Jacob, but Shirty.

Only one leader could visit Jacob at a time... Flocke was seen to be the leader so he was allowed to see Jacob in the statue.

Maybe Richard DID know that Locke was Flock all along and his 'mission' while being on the island was to find someone for Shirty who would fit into this whole 'loophole' thing. Someone that was worthy of being 'possessed' by Shirty and to finally kill of Jacob???

Or, maybe Jacob wanted Richard to find someone to kill him?

hiya Losto!
i think Jacob ad Shirty were there before the Egyptians... maybe Jacob bought the Egyptians to the island (like he has everyone else) and that's how all the Egyptian stuff was built.

Re:IRV Spoiler Theories Reply to this message
Also the opening seen between Shirty and Jacob got me thinking.
Jacob offers fish, but he rejects it. This could represent God/Jacob giving us free choice as to what will happen if he didn't take the fish and if he did.
Esau says there is a "Corrupt end" or something like that, saying everything is planned out.
Plan/Choice two very different things.

Also random easter egg, Esau takes on the ghost of dead bodies that come into the island e.g Locke and Christian.
Christian is seen near the donkey wheel, Locke asks "Can you help me up?".
"No sorry John I can't" Christian answers.
This could explain why Esau couldn't kill Jacob, maybe they could not "touch".
This could explain the brand new theory that is going around the internet "Jacob's touch"
E.g When Locke fell out of the window and DIED, yes I do believe he died.

about the 'not being able to touch' thing, i think its more people doing things out of free will.
Jacob says to Ben that he has a 'choice' to do whatever he's going to do or to go. Ben CHOOSES to kill him (after being slightly manipulated by Flock).
Locke chooses to turn the frozen donkey wheel

Re:IRV Spoiler Theories Reply to this message
http://darkufo.blogspot.com/2009/05/things-i-notic ed-incident-by-vozzek69.html

i do like what he says about Hurley...

"The dark man is resigned to the fact that LOST's loop will never be broken. He argues that Man's destructive history and propensity for war will never allow anything but corruption. This is an inner corruption too; one of the heart and soul. The dark man is judging humankind here on a very general basis - it doesn't matter who the Black Rock brings to the island, he believes Jacob will never be right.

Jacob on the other hand, believes in change. Maybe even an inner change, brought about by sacrifice and purity. All throughout LOST we've seen the terrible things done by everyone throughout their flashbacks. They've each been guilty of being impure on one level or another. Lying, cheating, stealing, killing - there are skeletons in every closet. At one time or another, every single one of our characters has done something to prove the dark man right... something that could be judged to be impure by his own definition of human nature. Everyone, of course, except for one person: Hurley.

So just as the dark man believes this wheel will spin round and round, forever unchanged, it's Jacob's opposite belief that there will be an ending. One single ending. And everything else that happens up to that point? It's nothing but practice. Progress. Evolution. Because eventually, Jacob believes that someone will be born out of all this record-skipping mayhem that will have the purity needed to end this really long game. Someone who passes judgment. Someone who can actually change things."

Re:IRV Spoiler Theories Reply to this message
yes sgjiorgioski that is indeed correct.

And to put your mind at ease about Juliette, she is confirmed to have a reccuring role in Season 6 and is most likely not dead...well not past Juliette anyway if you catch my drift.

But if Locke is dead, no one is really talking about it, because they'd never kill off Locke lol.

ALso so in the end Ilana and Bram worked for Jacob..... not ben not charles not Elly not Dharma but Jacob!

Elly is pregnant with DAn in this episode and richard knocks her out to protect their leader, so in 1977 elly is the leader of the others...

And what do u think will happen to Sayid, now that he has been shot.... will he survive or die??

and let me say that ending of lost really makes me not want to wait till next year!!!

I believe Sayid will live, the bullet may have been sucked out by the electromagnetic pull.

Also I've had a brainwave, what if the incident was what happened in the finale.
i.e Juliette sacrificing herself and exploding the bomb, what if all that had to happen, and everything will play out exactly the same. Maybe the shouldn't have done anything, once again Jack was wrong.lol.

Re:IRV Spoiler Theories Reply to this message
what recap ep?

ANyway, i think you said it T - i REALLY like the Jacob/Esau (shirty) scene being equated with the Ben/WIdmore scene.. Lost being Lost, it is possible that Ben somehow killed his past self? As in, Jacob dies and is reincarnated as Ben? Just a thought...

I'm startin to think that maybe Jocob didnt speak to Ben because, in a way reincarnated way, Jacob IS Ben (or least they share the same soul?)

ALso i am thinking that the FLASh we see when Juliette triggers the bomb is a time flash - NOT an explosion. I'm pretty sure they're messing with us and the island will be fine come s06e01.

So going by that, the s5 finale is EXACTLY as it happened in the past. Is Chang injuring his hand (potenitally leading to him having to amputate his arm, PROOF that they DID indeed cause the incident.

Possible proof Jack helped CAUSE The Incident:

- The Swan had concrete around the electromagnetic energy, but this would ALO be necessary to contain an area which had been nuked to contain radiation.

- The Swan's quarantine door (which they so subtely reminded us of). Radiaton form the h-bomb could be the reason for the quarantine. They say it takes rouhgly 26-30 years for radiation to vlear. 1977 + 26 = 2003... Losites arrive 2004. hmmmmm

- Chang's hand injury

- Season 2 finale saw some crazy magnetic sh1t going on when they didnt hit the button. This EXACT affect occured AFTER they threw the bomb down the hole. Assuming the island doesnt explode and that somehow the flash was related to time travel, then the magnetci anomaly will now need dampening. Enter The Button.

I'm not saying WHatever Happened, Happened BUT i am saying that i DO think we watch the Incident unfold as it ALWAYS did.

Re:IRV Spoiler Theories Reply to this message
DAMN - stupid website just erased my whole post...

ANyway - ill try to summarize

Jacob - WHY did he say "They're coming"? I think either cause:
1) He was warning them (good guy to the end) about a coming problem. EVen tho the only people there were his killer and his killer's buddy...; OR
2) He was having the last laugh, as in "i may be dying, but they're coming and your soon screeewwed..."

Also how old is Jacob? And when and how did he get onto the island????

And how does Blakc Rock get to the middle of the island if we see it sailing happily only km's off the coast??? How is it going to end up miles inland??? weird..

Im thinking maybe, thru some weird time travel scenario, that perhaps Black Rock has some or even all our Losties on it. Dunno how, but im starting to wonder bout that thing and why it is being saved for season 6.

And turns out that the statue WAS Taweret after all!! So that means i was right haha!! anyway, im thinking tho that showing the statue in its entirety was kinda pointless. It added nothing to the story.

We dont to see the statue to reinforce any Egyptian themes coz by now they already WELL established.

SO, im thinking this is just one of maybe 4 statues. One statue at each of the cardinal points - NOrth East SOuth and West. Tawaret was North. So maybe Anubis would be another, Ra another and not sure of the fourth. Perhaps the temple is a homage to them all and a centre for island energy??

I dunno

ANywya off to read Vozzek :)

Re:IRV Spoiler Theories Reply to this message
The more i think bout it, the more i think Jacob is VERY special - maybe even some kind of god or creator, taken human form.

- He revived Locke after falling out a window (POSITIVE bout that)

- He 'guided' all our Losties VERY early in life, showing an all-knowing, all-seeing aspect

- He hasnt aged

ALso, look at what he changed by his interventions:

KATE - Stopped her from being busted stealing the linchbox hence ensuring she wouldnt learn any lessons and would CONTINUE to be a corrupt (Sorta) type person all her life, leading her to end up on 815 in handcuffs.

LOCKE - Pretty obvious here, he revived Locke, saved his life, and ensured his path stayed on track to 'find' the island.

SAWYER - Made sure he wrote that letter and further sewed the seeds of hatred that would make Sawyer end up a conman and hence end up on 815 and therefore find the island.

JACK - Weird one, Very minimal interference here. Gave him an apollo bar. Island link there but i cant work out the significance here...

SAYID - I think he ensured that Sayid sisnt ALSO get hit by that car, by distracting him at the exact right time. If he hadnt done that then perhaps Sayid would also been hit and not have returned to the island. The island didnt seem to be finsihed with Sayid.

So is it possible that Whatever Happens, DOES Happen, UNLESS Jacob changes the course?

Or were his visits simply UNDOING what Ben, Ellie, RIchard, etc had done by playing with destiny and timelines??

Or did he KNOW that the island needed these people so ensured nothing happened to rpevent their course from ending up there (either in the first place or again).

Or of course, it could also be that for WHATEVER reason, he simply needed to touch or be near these people at some point, but if thats the case then WHY visit them all at such different times? SOme b4 island visit (Kate, Sawyer, Locke, Jack) and some after (Sayid)?

Man, what a finale!! BRING ON SEASON 6!!

Re:IRV Spoiler Theories Reply to this message
Just had a thought bout possible s6 scene regarding the swan...

Somehow a concrete truck or something similar gets sucked down the hole, and it is noticed that the effects reduce after the concrete is there.

So they pour more concrete down the hole and, for whatever reason, continue building the swan.

Think back to how the concrete looked in the swan. Kind of had metal beams going through and buckets n stuff... could REALLY have been the result of random and somewhat chaotic conrete being poured in from above then further thickened and patched up at a later date....
