A forgotten clue? Reply to this message
OK, I'm not sure completely sure who did what in this description, but what's important is what happened, not who it happened to. It's just a strange event that has stuck in my mind for 2 1/2 seasons and I'm wondering if it will have some importance in the final explanation of what is going on.

Way back towards the start of series one (I think it was White Rabbit or the episode after), Jack takes a group to the caves to get water. When they get there, Locke finds 'Adam & Eve' and a pouch containing a pair of polished stones, one black and one white. He shows them to Kate, who seems very interested in them, but is then distracted by Charlie running in and the stones are forgotten. Both Locke and Kate reacted very strangely to finding the stones, but then the way the issue was pushed aside and forgotten...it reminds me of Jim finding Huck Finn's dead father, a seemingly insignificant event which became very relevant to the story later on.

Re:A forgotten clue? Reply to this message
maybe...
i dunno if all these clues are adding up to anything anyway, maybe its all a part of the shows addictivness, or just to get us thinking.
its a pretty complex show, its not the kinda thing you can just watch halfway through the season the understand it.
i personally think in the end, the clues wont matter.

Re:A forgotten clue? Reply to this message
remember bak to season 1 when they find the two dead people and they call them adam and eve? they also find a bag woth a white and black rock in it. what if these people are desmond and penny. because when desmond returns at the end of season 2. by his feet are two rocks…one white…the other black…were these the same ones? mabie. because time travel is invloved. these may be the same rocks as the ones they found…but in a different dimmension. penny WILL eventually find desmand (antarctica people probably hired by penny) she will be stranded on the island. or it could be some romeo and JULIET thing where desmo dies and penny dies along with him…with the rocks. r they just rocks? could they have more significance? they remined me of the whole light and dark forces and stuff i am probly wrong but, you never know. with lost u never can.

The bird didn't actually say "Hurley". What it said was "It's Early" referring to the time of day.

Re:A forgotten clue? Reply to this message
im sure it said hurley...

i've actually been rewatching the first season and it seems it's deeper than i once thought..

let's see...

walt says something to locke to do with the hatch (not season 2) and im sure walt knows nothing of the hatch...

locke appears to claire in a dream saying that it was her problem or something and then she goes to the cradle of blood

and that theresa falls up the stairs theresa falls down the stairs... whats up with that, i mean i know the story behind it but seriously, how did it end up in locke's dream?

and finally in the background of lockes dream someone is pointiong into the sky... who is he?? (or did i miss something?)

Sorry, what IS the story behind "teresa falls up/down the stairs"? It was a wee bit spooky brother.

Re:A forgotten clue? Reply to this message
maybe the whole rocks thing isnt a major clue after all its probably jus another way of adding in the themes of the show like good v evil and black/white. its used by the producers to make the audience understand the themes better

Re:A forgotten clue? Reply to this message
theresa is Boone's childhood Nanny.

the story behind it is that Boone had a room at the top of the house and he always called for theresa to bring him stuff, quite alot of the time, then one day theresa fell down the stairs and broke her neck, Boone was only 6

Re:A forgotten clue? Reply to this message
i think that nikki actually said paralyzed.
because, if you try sying it, it sorta (not very well)
sounds a bit like power lines, and paulo lies, which were two of the things they thought she said.
just saying

Re:A forgotten clue? Reply to this message
Ok,
A. SHE SAID PARYLYZED
B. In the dream that claire had about the cradle full of blood, that was probably meaning she was superstisious or somefin about the 'others' takin her baby!
C. What do you mean someone was pointing at the sky?
D. did anyone see the thing in one of the eps. in charlies dream where he sees his mum and claire saying you must save the baby you must...etc. But did you see the tail of a plane go past in the back ground?
In fact, does anyone watch the clues on the website?
