| The list the wrote at the end of Season 2, had Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley on it. We know they wanted Hurley so they could send him back, Jack to do the operation, but why Kate and sawyer? |

| Yea but Ben said something about Jacob choosing them, and in the deleted scenes on season 3 Pickett says to Sawyer "as soon as they don't need you any more, your gone" or something along those lines |

to force jack to do the surgery, he needed Kate to tell him to do it.
The only way to get Kate to tell him to do it would be to threaten Sawyer.

| Thats the quote i wanted, i knew it was something about Jack not being on the list. I can't believe i am saying this, but to have a controlled expriment with the getting pregnant, and ofcourse the other don't want to use their own ppl, so they use Sawyer and Kate incase Kate dies. |
