28th April:
this was an excellent episode. Lots of questions were answered. Poor Ben. I feel so sad for him sometimes. I think he's kind, deep down. Way down. |

| I'm wondering about that box. Did they find it on the island or did they bring it with them? Ie knowing the crash would happen. Perhaps sent by witmore or hawking? Mmm... Strange. She did seek out sayid after all |

They had the box with them on the plane.
I think it might be John's coffin. |

I've already said this in another post so I'll just copy and paste it here...
"did anyone else get the feeling that big metal box with the two bamboo poles through the handles resembled the ARK OF THE COVENANT or something similar. It would tie in nicely to the religious theme and the Egyptian element of the show. For those that do not know, the Ark was said to contain the Ten Commandments and Aaron's Rod and held mystical powers and was taken by Moses and his brother Aaron out of Egypt by the Israelites (and has never been found)."
Not saying it is the Ark, but something similar in power... |

As Ilana was working for the family of one of Sayid's victims, there's a good chance she is acting on Charles' behalf. I reckon the box is hers and it contains something Charles could use to reach or control the island.
Either that or it's Ben's magic box... |

| There's no such thing as a "magic box", that was just a metaphor Ben used to dazzle Locke. |

No, all the Dharma people DO die in the purge, that was the point of it.
Radzinsky kills himself in the swan hatch at some stage, this was established back in season 2 by the dude Des was in the hatch with for a while. |

| The DI was wiped off the Island but that doesn't mean that it was destroyed completely. Off island, I'm sure there are some forms of the DI left through the Hanso Foundation and the DeGroots, which these people could now be working for. |

Don't forget Dharma were still organising food drops when Jack and Locke were pushing the button, so someone at Dharma was still organising it. There was something at Comic-Con last year where they had a "recruitment" booth for Dharma, a lot of people think this was to push viewers in the direction that they were wanting to start up on the island again.
If Dharma built the lamppost station, then it would seem reasonable that Hawking is working with/for them perhaps? That is also how I think Ilana is connected to this, through Dharma/Hawking, I mean she was the one who told Jack which flight to get on and Ilana was also on it, with a reason to get Sayid there also. |

yeah ur right about the DI food drops in the first cple of seasons so they must still be some one of the island organizing stuff.
So then is it possible that Elly is working for Dharma as well? since the lamp post is a DI station? |

| What if.... What if one of our Losties left the island in the 70's and stayed off the island and lived out their life from then. They would be able to help their friends with food drops and medical supplies because they would know they would be on the island at that time. I really don't think all those pallets of stuff would be only for Desmond, and he was the only DI member on the island when they crashed there. Maybe this person is working with Eloise?? |
