| Wasn't the person in the coffin suppose to be survived by his/her teenage son???????? I am sure that's what the newspaper reported alongside the obituary. |

| i remeber that too i am guessing that the obituary was a cover up of the real death. in the obituary it said that it was sucide and sayid did question whether or not it was. i am guessing the people responsible for lockes death covered it up and put in the obituary that he had a son. |

My 2 cents worth, and 3 theories:
1. The "real" Jeremy Bentham had a teenage son and this had to be included in the newspaper report to give credibility to Locke's assumption of his identity.
2. Or maybe he really is JB but we just don't know how, yet.
3. The teenage "son" is really John Locke when he was a teenager - somehow there has been a split-off and John now exists as a teenager with his future ahead of him, and the older version who died/was killed. All to do with time-shifting.
Just my theories ... |

| Jeramy Bentham was a fake name for Locke, so that fake name had to have fake life, and that is why he has teenage son. Lcke does not have a son, its just an alias. Remember to not overthink. It was most likely done so we would think it was Michael. |

no....there was absolutely no mention of a son in the actual newspaper clipping....

The body of Jeremy Bentham of New York was found shortly after 4 a.m. in the 4300 block of Grand Avenue.
Ted Worden, a doorman at the Tower Lofts complex, heard loud noises coming from the victim's loft. Concerned for the tenants' safety, he entered the loft and found the body hanging from a beam in the living room.
According to Jaime Ortiz, a police spokesman, the incident was deemed a suicide after medical tests. Bentham (sic) is survived by one teenaged son.
Memorial services will be held at the Hoffs-Drawlar Funeral Home tomorrow evening."
The producers though, have stated that the aricle may be re-written. It is not know if it was written by the actual writinng staff. |

when it says Jeremy Benthan of New York does that mean that he was born in New York or does it mean he lives in New York
if he lived in New York then why was his body in LA |
