Richard was shown testing the young John back in the 50's with the comic showing a lost island and he is the same age on the island - pops up again as one of the tribe John Locke is now in charge of

I reckon he can timetravel and does so on a regular basis! He freaks me out! Hes so ugly! Uglier than me!(JOKES ANYONE IS UGLIER THAN ME!) lol! Hope that helps, tho it probs dosn't! LOL!:)

I think he's one (possibly the last surviving) member of the original inhabitants of the island. Either an ancient race like Atlanteans, or extraterrestials or something.
