| How come the island was shown to be somewhere in Indonesia but Oceanic 815 was enroute from Sydney to LA when it crashed? There were no blinding flashes between the crash and Ben moving the island to escape the attackers. |

| I'd like to know what happened to Daniel and the others in the Zodiac. I believe Daniel has a bigger part to play - remember, he has significant knowledge of the whole "time portal" theory and is paranoid enough to know Ben and others are messing around with something beyond human control. |

Why did the island have to be moved?
Wasnt it being moved because it was under threat from Keamy? If all the commando guys had been killed, and ben knew their boat was blown up, wasn't the island therefore not under threat anymore and in no need to be moved?
Was the threat that Whidmore was able to find it and thats why it needed to be moved? Or did they just move it after Keamy and his men were dead because thats what jacob (through christian) had ordered? |

| Jacob told Locke that the island needed to be moved. Whitmore was close to finding the islands location so in order to protect it, it had to be moved. But also, didn't Ben say that whoever moved the island coud not return? |

Yeah he did, thats why Ben was so upset when he was turning the wheel.
Perhaps the reason for him helping Jack get back to the island is that he is hoping he can somehow go back with them/Locke. |

| I think Ben was aware of what he was doing and the island is really his only home and in a way his identity. He was aware that the shift of power to Locke was occurring with Jacobs consent. He is also more aware of the islands secrets than just about anybody and refers to the island as if it is alive on many occasions. He knows chances are the Island wont let him back - of course he is upset. |

'How come the island was shown to be somewhere in Indonesia but Oceanic 815 was enroute from Sydney to LA when it crashed? There were no blinding flashes between the crash and Ben moving the island to escape the attackers.'
The plane was 1000 miles off course when it crashed, the pilot told jack, kate and charlie that in the first episode. Their radios had gone down and they were out of communication with everyone. That's why no one would be looking for them in the right place, and why they landed on the island near Indonesia.... |

| Thanks for that. But 1000 miles is like Melbourne to Brisbane, and Indonesia is probably 5000 miles from Sydney and in nearly the opposite direction. Any pilot would know whether they were flying east or west, and they could not have been out of communication the entire journey. Still confused. Is Oceanic meant to be a SE Asian airline with a stopover in Bangkok or something? |

| The plane crash near Indonesia was staged and is not Oceanic Flight 815. It is only meant to look like it. |

No, Ben was afraid of something else when he turned the wheel, if he wasn't he would have stopped trying to turn it when it didn't move, or at least wouldn't have been so desperate to turn it! |

| Ben had to move the island because that is what Jacob wanted. He still moved it because the commados are dead and the frieghter is destroyed, BUT WIDMORE STILL KNOWS THE LOCATION OF THE ISLAND. |

| Could Whidmore have some sort of tracking device on the island to show him where it is at all times, but when the island moves the device becomes more and more faulty evry time? Could the island have been moved more than once? |

| Don't forget that one week had elapsed between when Penny's boat picked up the survivors and when they went back onto the raft to paddle to that Indonesian island. I suspect that Penny's boat spent that week sailing from the mid-pacific (where the island was) to Indonesia. I guess they wanted to make their cover story more convincing.. |

| yeah... cos the rest of the world still believes that the set-up plane that 'someone' has put near Indonesia is real... so the Oceanic 6 are still going with that being the wreckage.... |

| I just can't swallow this "Indonesia" thing. The flight was from Sydney to L.A. Why would'nt Oceanic have questioned the survivors more. To get from Aus to LA is all water views. To go to Indonesia you would have to travel overland for 3 to 4 hours. The losties would had to have noticed this. Surely Oceanic are in on this sonehow? Are they owned by someone? Widmore? Dunno, but they must be in on it. |

| no, you wouldnt have to travel overland to get to indonesia. it bugs me also why the press or anyone else is not questioning the location of the fake wreckage. they might give us an answer one day. |

| What? Unless you take off from Sydney and turn hard right , then fly completely around Victoria, S.A. and W.A. then head straight north you have to go overland. And how long would that take? 10 hours maybe? Plus you would be picked up on radar. I'm just saying that Oceanic are helping someone hide the truth. |
