They were going to kill off Jack in the first episode! Remember the pilot in the tree? Originally that was going to be Jack in the tree with his body ripped apart. Kate was going to be the leader. LOST WOULDN'T BE THE SAME

P.S. Soz if this has been posted B4.

This wouldn't make sense. Why would Jack be in the tree if he was already on this island

oh dear lord

you clumsy fool (so too speak)

Jack arrived on the island the same time as the pilot, who was taken by the monster is tossed into the tree. How could that not make sense?

also, I think it would of been awesome!
because it would give viewers the first reaction as to "anything could happen in the show" - what the producers wanted.

No Jack = comedy, not 24/7 drama whenever he is around.

think about it, if Kate was involved, we would have plenty of mystery, maybe even a MA rating.

Hurley? we would have comedy!

Jack? bah, get rid of him! he's the one thing in lost that needs to go!

Actually the pilot was going to be the leader if jack died.

I so wish locke shot jack, right in the face 2, im sick of his boring and irrelevant flashbacks.

I think all this talk of what * was * going to happen, but didn't, or what got changed along the way, backs up my theory that they (the writers) are making it up as they go along. Part of the appeal of Lost is that you can never anticipate what's going to happen next. I just hope the ending is excellent and not a gigantic let-down or a cop-out.

yeah I heard about Jack getting killed off really early but yeah there is no way Lost would be Lost without Jack. He's such a main character. lol that sounded really dumb but ya know.

They were suppossed to kill him off in the pilot episodes, but =decided not to because everyone loved his character too much. so i doubt they will kill him off just yet, considering there are still like 3 seasons left or about 48 eps.
