| I was outraged today to discover that LOST will be moving to 11:00pm from Wednesday April 22nd. I strongly urge everyone to contact their local Channel 7 and complain!!! 10:30pm is obviously not late enough for seven!!! |

| WHAT? this is just madness i mean 10:30 was kind of ok i mean at least i had something to watch before i go to bed but 11 is just annoying and assuming the show gets darker and more adult programs are forced to air on 7 theirs no stopping how late this show will be on. though this show before it may be good since the guy is fair |

7 are completely justified here. they have been more than patient the ratings have been terrible and going down. how much profit do you expect them to sacrifice? they are not a charity.
we all saw this coming ages ago, just look back in the blog archives. no one expected it to last at 10:30 this long we were lucky that 7 didn't start the year with it at 11:30 |

it was scoring very low at 9:30 before it was bumped. the last 6 weeks lost has been the lowest rating 10:30 show on commercial television. the closest one, bridezillas, was 50,000 viewers above it at times.
other shows that go to 10:30 manage to keep their audiece much better. |

| Seven's lack of advertising can be partly blamed for the bad ratings. The only time ads are shown for Lost are less than half an hour before it comes on and not much effort appears to be put in to them. With so little promotion, some people aren't even aware the show is on! If 7 had tried harder to advertise it well, it may have rated better at 10:30. And being three weeks behind America didn't exactly help either... |

Well, I think we can safely say RIP, on the 22 of April, 2009. Lost dies in Australia, murdered by channel 7.
I would not be surprised if season 6 isn't picked up next year. Start recomending sites to stream now! |

| Lost was actually murdered by Seven last year when they stupidly decided to move it to 9:30 to make way for Out of the Question (which isn't even on anymore btw). |

lost requires too much intelligence for the average tv viewer. so sad :( is it similar elsewhere on earth?
you can see how little advertising they get... i always have to run back to the show before i know it, the ads have finished. |

| Chaqnnel 7 lost allot of viewers when it decided to drag each series so far apart and there has been F#@K all advertising for when it was going to be back on and it's just not good enough i'm sure there is enough fans to be runing it at a reasonable hour. |

| I totally agree with tim on this. channel 7 lost viewers when tey moved it from the 8.30 time slot and than later and later. of course people are not going to stay up and watch a show you need to concentrate on through blurry eyes. When it is not running in time with the states, all the die hard fans are on the net downloading and getting it live. this si what has also killed ratings. Lost was a big hit for channel 7, just like Prison break was which got the viewers in but there is absolutely NO reward for viewer loyalty at all. So many shows I love to watch get moved to a later time slot until they just put it on at 11pm or midnight to appease the few that still follow it like Alias, Stargate, Eli Stone, dirty sexy money...need I say more...Just invest in a dvd recorder, that way you can edit out the commercials you have to injure in this time slot. |

And of course when seven says 11pm its really 11.30 or 12 before the show actually starts. I'm really p!$$ed off with Lost being pushed back again especially for that Russell drip - his ads are bad enough let alone watching him for 1/2 hour.
Guess I'll have to reprogram the dvd recorder AGAIN. |

Hi all,
My first post on the board!
I'd just like to put in my bit and say how silly this is. Every week I have to check the tv guide to make sure Lost is on at it's designated time slot or if it's even going to be on at all. This week is a disappointment cause I find out it's being bumped by some git who doesn't know how to use a hair brush.
Channel 7 are just being unfair now. All the time changes and for what? What happened to Bionic Woman, Trinny and Suzannah and all the other lame ass shows they claimed were "must see tv"?!
They need to fire their current programmer and get someone who actually knows how to air FULL shows at regular times.
I'm really tempted to storm down to my local ch7 and demand an explanation. That or an angry letter. |
