thanks bubs4eva - yep i wrote that on the printed petition, i told them to check the website when they get my letter as more and more people are adding everday. This is the letter I sent them:
Dear Complaints Officer
I am writing to you to express my disappointment in the change of time slot for the TV show LOST.
LOST was originally aired at 8:30pm, then was moved to 9:30pm, and this week it has been pushed back to 10:30pm. Please consider LOST’s target demographic, who are young workers and school kids, who simply can not stay up until 11:30pm to watch LOST on your Network. We are certain that if you view the activity and blogs on the http://au.yahoo.com/lost/ website, you will understand that all LOST viewers will be affected by this time change.
A group of the LOST audience have expressed their views and outrage towards Channel Sevens’ decision in the attached online petition.
I would strongly suggest Channel Seven take the time to read each and every comment from your viewers, who are now threatening to boycott your station completely, and to sadly illegally download episodes of LOST instead, which will ensure your ratings plummet.
LOST fans and I look forward to hearing a response form you. |

| I would also like to register my absolute OUTRAGE, I work untill 8:00pm and the only time I bother to watch TV instead of sleep when I get home is to watch LOST because it is, hands down, the BEST show on TV. Now I have to stay up until MIDNIGHT because a couple of pommy tarts think they know what I should be wearing. CURSE YOU CHANEL SEVEN |

This was my E-mail to Sunrise.
Hello Sunrise Team, I was not sure if this is the right section to e-mail in this issue but here it goes anyway. Recently the Lost fan community on the Yahoo7 Lost board found out Channel 7 is moving Lost to 10:30pm and putting Susannah & Trinny Undress the Nation in its place. This is the 2nd time Lost has been moved and us fans are outraged by this and even more angry at the show being put in it's place, not one fan I have spoken to has not called this new show a piece of garbage that is an insult to the fans and the show itself. Honestly how could 7 believe it could rate better than Lost is beyond us. That’s why the Lost community has created 2 petitions to try and get the show back to 9:30am or it's original time of 8:30pm. We have advised each other and stated to boycott this new program and channel 7 until the show is in a slot it deserves. We are mailing in these petitions, ringing the station to get our voice heard. This is a brilliant show with a large fan base that has had to resort to illegal downloading and stop watching altogether due to the lack of loyalty from the network that fans gave and never got back, this new move increases the loss of viewers and illegal downloading. Every comment on this issue I have read has always consisted of people with jobs who can’t stay up for the show, mothers who can’t stay up that late because their children have school. It’s shocking the amount of issues come up in this change and how important this is to people and their week. This show is an outlet many look forward to in their week and this new move has destroyed that for them. Many of these people have been talking about boycotting Channel 7, downloading illegally and just tuning out for good. Since they announced the move we have been working hard to get our voice heard and today someone suggested mailing Sunrise, this sounded like a good idea as it is probably the only show anyone is going to watch with Lost if they bo ... |

I sent an email to sunrise just now.
We all have a common passion and we can achieve anything if we set our hearts to it. If Yahoo took notice of us (leaving a reply), then seven will too!
Hang in there everyone! Our Voices will be heard!
I think a couple of youtube video's would be great to add to our campaign if anyone is up for making one. Its a good way to express your concerns and feelings :)

Hi guys/gals
I am really angry at the new timeslot like everyone...
The best way to beat ch 7
1 is to not watch stupid trinny show..watch another channels show like svu or median at 9:30 which lowers trinny show ratings.
2 tape lost from now on.. and watch it without the commercials which will cost channel seven dollars
3 boycott all future big shows channel seven has coming...
someone should edit the online petition and include these threats...
also ask yourself why
shows like
desperate housewives and greys never moved from 8:30 timeslot?
it is because of the ratings (mainly women are the biggest viewers)...
This is not unique to ch7, other channels do the same thing
Just look at shows like underbelly it remained at 8:30pm because of high ratings while show "Canal Road" which was hyped by ch9 to go after underbelly at 9:30 is now moved to 10:30pm coz of poor ratings.
I had to watch "Six feet under" finale at 12midnight and so was the sopranos which was on late as well and had a lot of time changes without notification. I will have to get the dvds to rewatch the missed episodes (at least I am in control now).
A show can be the best written show in the world but if it rates poorly, or only rates well to a small niche group then it will be given a later timeslot or maybe canceled altogether.
This is only thing network tv understands
High ratings = high advertising $$
lower ratings = low $$ = move to a later timeslot
very lower ratings = cancel the show
it's all about money on commercial tv...advertisers have the real power...also tv channels cater to advertisers they are their real employers...not audience...
It is time to give up on on free tv and watch stuff on the net or dvds....this is the end of free tv and great shows...
Thank god we got more choices nowadays thanks to the internet and dvds..

Face facts.. Lost is going to be dumped. Absolute guarantee. No channel puts a show with 2 years still to run on at 10.30pm at night unless they are going to ditch it. Prison Break? Gone.. I have persevered long enough with it. Bypass channel 7 and get it from the US or switch off altogether before they leave you hanging part way through a season. For a Free to Air channel the Lost concept is fatally flawed. It CANNOT attract new viewers once it has been running for a certain number of episodes so the base dwindles with every passing show. THIS EQUALS CANCELLATION.

| i like it in one way i live in a carvan with my mum and just one t.v. and my mum like to wacth channel 9 at 8:30 so i don't get to wacth Ghost whisper and at 9:30 she likes to wacth channel 10 so i only get wacth bits and picces of lost so i like the 10:30 time so i can the hole thing now only if we move ghost whisper to 7:30 and all will be good now for all the other good shows that i like to wacth but don't get to wacth. one thing at the time. |
