| OK, on another topic there was a link to a wiki that had all the unanswered questions from Lost. It got me thinking that maybe some of the questions have normal perfectly reasonable answers!(I know i almost shot myself for thinking such things)! But seriously, it actually came to my attention the other day when my friend(Whose only watched the first couple of eps of season one so don't get angry at her and me both!)said that sometimes people with back injuries that permanantly put them in wheelchairs(Such as Locke) haven't actually done major damage to their spines just knocked them far enough out of line for it to be to risky for docters to operate. She said that it could possibly be what happened to Locke, and falling thousands of feet to the ground from a plane knockedit right back into line and the island doesn't actually have magic healing powers! (GASP!) Any other questions with answers that could be normal? |

Here are some things that aren't normal on the island (healing powers):
Ben being able to stand up from being permanetly disabled when locke came (season 3).
The pregnant mothers dying.
Richard Alpert - the man who never ages.
Mr. eko surviving major blood loss from the polar bear and the explosion in the hatch (season 2) |

Naomi's lung is an easy one. In season one when Sawyer shot the police dude with the bit of plane stuck in him he punctured the lung, Jack said it would take hours to bleed out!
The pregnant women dying well some places may have qualities to make whatever happens happen or maybe one or two women died of an infection of some sort and they started giving the other pregnant women drugs that caused the baby harm instead of good! |

| I think the reason the pregnant women die has something to do with the time difference. I think the fetus is growing to slow or too fast so the baby can't grow properly and this will also harm the mother in a way that causes her to die. |

I actually considered that before we even knew about all the magic powers of the island. Who knows, really? |
