This phrase has ben said heaps of times, mostly by John Locke.
im guessing he picked up the phrase when he was in rehab, his trainer says, i need to get you into the wheelchair, John says, i cant, i cant. his trainer then says, you just survived falling from an 8 story building, so dont tell me what you cant do.
in season one, he says this many times in "Walkabout". He says it to his boss, because his boss is ordering him around at lunch break
he says it to kate when Kate doubts him catching the boar
and he says it in his flashback to the walkabout agent because he says you wont be able to do the walkabout tour
He tells Jack in "The Hunting Party," "Who are we to tell anyone what they can or can't do?" (in reference to Michael running off on his own)
Jack echos "Don't tell me what I can't do!" when Sun asks him to stop the amputation on boones leg.
Claire echos "Don't tell me what to do, okay!" in "Exodus," after Danielle kidnaps her baby, and she wants to join Charlie & Sayid to get him back
Locke tells Eko that he is a slave to the button, just like he was once. Mr. Eko tells him, "Do not tell me what I cant do."
In "Further Instructions," Charlie says to Locke, "You don't get to tell me what I can't do."
i also noticed Ben say it to Locke in the brig, when Locke argued about Ben moving the others to another campsite without him.
Lookout for the phrase, because it is said ALOT if you pay attention |

| Back in seaon 3 when ben is taking the others away somewhere.. he tells Locke that he can't come untill he's finished what he was to do.. ie( kill his father) Locke protests and Ben yells ..DON'T TELL ME WHAT I CAN'T DO. |

when i first saw chuck_norris_yes_he_can a picture of a big cartoon rooster with a basket full of expired credit cards formed in my head. dunno why

| I reckon Locke complains too much and that's how he ends up dead, he probably tried to redecorate the Island with colour coordination with Tom but the island got angry because the leafy yellow green they used with the rainforest canopy green clashed with its ice cold blue ice room. |
