Back in season 1 (i think) There was an episode where Jin had to go and bash a guy. He bashed the guy infront of his wife ans his kid. When Jin first came in the house, in the background on the Tv was news about Hurly winning the Lottery. And it was at the chicken place he owned and the reporter was that Trish tanaka (who is now dead along with the chicken place)
But if that metoirite killed Trish and the chicken place, how did that get on tv? Cuz that was the only interview she gave hurly. And the report wasnt live. And the video footage of the interview would have been destroyed.
What do you guys think?

| Believe it or not, that makes total sense to me. I remember that ep, and I agree with wot u r saying. How could that footage be playing on the TV while it wasn't a live feed? |

You are right, I just checked the script on lostpedia and the camera was destroyed and they weren't going live.
Most likely a mistake by the writers. |

since when do lost writers make mistakes. Everything happens for a reason is there disclaimer lol.
are you sure it was tricia tanaka reporting?? on such a small tv in the background how can you tell? remember, Hurley got heaps of publicity after the win. and there were a few reports aswell.
Normally if the report was in another country, the reporter would also be from that country or at least speaking that language. |

i have not seen this clip, but i know that sometimes news crews use a news van which has the live camra footage and the sound recordings sent to them vire saterlite, so they dont get digital interference or somin, but any way this is how they could have done this.
also the tape may have not been damaged which is a much more simpler answer |

| Sorry to dissapoint everyone who was loving this crazy little clue but I went and watch the episode on dvd again and the clip on the TV is from infront of the petrol station when Hurley was first identified as the lottery winner, which is before the meteor killed Trishia Tanaka. |

| It is not an easter egg, As I pointed out before the footage of Hurley is from Before the Trishia Tanaka footage was shot and therefore means she was still alive at the time, also she doesn't even appear in the clip shown in that episode. |

The footage that was on the t.v when jin was bashing up that guy was at the chicken place. But i don't think the writers have made a mistake i think its just another clue that will eventually explained or something. And remember when that meteor hit the place trinka tanaka had left the camera and tape and stuff outside and she had gone inside didn't she.

| yeah, Hurly won the lotto with his numba's (4 8 15 16 23 42) and so since bad things have been happening, the people and/or jacob/ Dharma, want the real world not to know what happened 2 Tricia Tanaka, soooo, they covered it up and now the real 1 is dead and they replaced her with an evil clone mwahahah |

they recorded a interview in there then the lady took hurley back outside and told him she wanted him to give different answers to her questions and some other junk, then he said ok or something and she walked back in then the meteor hit.
so they must have been airing the first one they recorded in her memory or something? |
