| Ive just been thinking l8ly how charlie and his brother Liam are similar 2 the brothers of Oasis, the english 90's band. Both bands where broken apart by drugs, and both had brothers in them. One of the band members of Oasis has the name Liam as well. Probly no LOST conection though |

Oasis are one of the best bands of all time! How can you say you have never heard of them? Bullocks, google them!
And I don't think Drive shaft are based on Oasis, just have similar connections. |

I think oasis is awsome!!!! any way the connections seem so real its hard to think of it as a coincidence....
if u listen to drive shafts "come on everybody" it is sung very similarly to oasis' style and tone |

if u have not heard them just buy one of their albums.. u wont b disapointed
You all Everybody sounds like Rock 'n Roll Star, and the start sounds like Cigaretts and Alcohol
Also in second last episode of season 2 of lost (Live Together, Die Alone. Pt 1) charlie sees Locke crying, and im not sure if charlie is trying 2 be funny but he finds it hilarious that desmond is back and locke is yet to know.... hes just setting him self up to be laughed at by viewers |

| yes, they were pretty much the modern day beatles. If the beatles were still together now, then oasis would of not have got a contract. they more or less the same. |

| to answer the OP's query, yes i think it might've been deliberate to name charlie's bro liam as a nod to the oasis-britpop fans out there, as that is the sound they are clearly trying to duplicate in driveshaft |

how can you compare oasis to the beatles! The beatles sold alot (ALOT!!!) more albums, they made alot (ALOT!!) more songs, they made alot (ALOT!!!) more top ten songs and they made alot (ALOT!!!) more money.
also your lyrics are slightly wrong.
on the special features of season one there is a section all about drive shaft,
the sentence "You all everybody acting like the stupid people wearing your fancy clothes" was what a woman stood up and said on an Op rah like show, the topic they were talking about was consumerism.
because the sentence made absolutly no sence JJ abrams and david lindelof and other board members made a big joke about it. then they realised it had to be the song for driveshaft.
the band is a similar genre to oasis, but not based on it |

Acturally it is!
I'll just write down the similarities for you:
1. Liam from Oasis is a complete ass*hole . Same with the Liam in Drive Shaft
2.Noel and Liam form Oasis often fight about who sings the lyrics in a song. Same with Liam and Charlie.
3.In episode 3 Charlie mentions being a roadie. So was Noel Galagher.
4.Both the Liams have the same microphone stances on stage.
5.Both bands are from Manchester, England.
6.Liam and Noel are brothers just Liam and Charlie.
7.Charlie and Noel both swear a lot.
8.Charlie and Noel both have a particularly random style of song writing.
