I don't know what happened to Charlie when the hatch "blew up" but something is definately wrong with him.
he just wasn't acting himself when he got back to the beach and nobody would just forget about Locke and Eko and Desmond, whether they were with thier girlfriend or not.
as well as the question, if the hatch did blow up, how did he survive and get back to the beach so quickly? |

1. He hid behind a wall,as did Eko,when the dynamite exploded.
2. When He got back,he did ask whether Eko and Locke were back yet
3. He could have ran back to the beach
