| I was watching season 1 and in episode 5 Charlie does not go into the water to rescue Boone / the girl and he says "I don't swim". However at the end of season 3 he swims down to the Looking Glass... Does this have something to do with Desmond?? Any theories on this? Thanks. MickeyB |

| presumably had his drugs on him - if he goes in the water they'd get soggy and revolting or something, and if he took off his clothes on the beach someone could have found it. this sort of drug-fuelled paranoia is probably the reason behind his behaviour in this scene, i reckon |

A friend told me that in the episode where Charlie's father is trying to get him to jump in the water at the swimming pool-if you listen closely you here someone saying " Desmond lets go " so the theory is Desmond went back in time to make sure Charlie knew how to swim so he can fulfill his mission in season three. So Charlie could not swim in season one because Desmond had not gone back in time yet.
Another thing I noticed from season one- Boone says he is a certified life guard but he does not know how to swim and could not give Rose the proper CPR |

| Yeah! Totally wierd Boone thing! Saw that Last nite! I was kinda angry at him! He musta bin lyin! I'm rewatching Lost start to finish! Hey by the way do movie stores get movies before they come out cuz I think i saw complete lost season 4 but only quickly! I'm not sure! Anyway I'm suffering from Lost withdrawel! I think i may colapse here! I'm like Charlie when he gives up drugs! |
