Fav movies - have to be the BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogy!!!!
Fav books/tv series, HG Welles THE TIME MACHINE, and the movie with Rod Taylor. Also TOM'S MIDNIGHT GARDEN and the original British TV series. And any Dr Who series - like the early one about the Incas. |

Oh yes, the BTTF movies ... goes without saying!
Playing Beattie Bow, an Australian story is also good. And Harry Turtledove's book The Guns of the South, although really an alternative universe story, concerns time travellers. Recommended. And there was a very old B/W movie called Portrait of Jenny which was good. |

| Sadly my favorite one is one I can't remember the title of (read it when I was much younger sigh). Essentially the premise is that this young girl gets grabbed by a boy from the future who thinks she's messing up time (the problems are actually being caused by an immortal guardian from the Tor nearby the station she's at trying to summon help to his position). She has to learn how to live in the boy's home while he tries to figure out how to take her back, and then they wind up going back to various points in time to try and retrieve four ancient objects of power to help realign history. I only remember bits and pieces such as there being fixed ages (safe to trade with as you can't alter them) and unstable ones (that you can alter so you aren't allowed to enter them). The ancient objects are control devices that resemble eggs made of iron, silver, gold and lead. |
