i had mine removed on the 19th June. Its now the 15th July and im still waiting for period.seen doctor yesterday for a preganncy test and it was negative.she told me 2 wait another 4 weeks and if i still dont come on , re-do a test.
the weird thing is, i have been doing ovulation tests and according to them, i am ovulating right now. plus, the doctor that took it out told me it takes 1 week to go back to normal, and the nurse i saw yesterday is saying 3 months!!
whats going on !!!? |

hi,
I had the implanon removed 2 weeks ago and have had really low period pains since, they are quite bad (on a par with my early stage of labour) ive had backache also, but no period. What is odd though is that I have had a lot of clear jelly like mucus, which is exactly like the shows Ive had before Ive had my babies in the past. My doctors are really bad and if I go they will say what have you come for, Im just slightly worried that im pregnant and have conceived while being on the implanon, as I have put on weight, even though I have been going to slimming world, food cravings, dizziness absolutely exhausted most of the time, this is how I felt when I was pregnant. Has anyone else suffered with a loss of this clear jelly like substance from down below. |

I just had my implanon out tonight after having it in a year, when ihad it in i felt so depressed all the time, really moody, tired all the time, it didnt hurt at all when it was taken out but now its a bit sore, if id have known what the side effects were i would never have gotten it put in. i was having 3 periods a month which 5 days each and i was having a four day gap in between them.
if anybodys thinking about getting it in then i would think again its been nothing but trouble |

Hi Natahari,
Visit to this site again & would like to share my progress after removing the implanon...
I went to see gyn on 14th June & was dispensed with hormone pills (to finish in one week) to let AF come. Anyway, the AF came one hour later after i reached home..yet to start taking the pill.
I think my body has back to normal now...
Hope you are doing well too & may have good news soon. |

| hi to you all i totally agree this thing should be taken off the contraception list or at least properly advertised they just don't inform you of the side affects i had mine in a year and half before relising that it was the cause of all the proplems i was having despite several visits to the doctors and them saying it's not related. well i had it removed on the 24 jan and still in ttc although periods have regulated and my luteal phase is at it,s normal of 11 days its still not happening it breaks my heart every month and i totally blame the implanon congrats to all who are expecting i just hope my turn will be soon x |

| I had no side effects on removal but had a 5 months od illhealth before realising it was the implanon that was making me ill, headaches, stomach pains, lethargy , weight loss irregular bleeding every 2 weeks a period for 2 days , also the ropd started to travel down my arm due to weight loss, definetely not a good experience for me, never felt better once removed. |

Hi, I know itisall very stressfull after implanon, and a week can seem like a lifetime, but just to remind everyone generally a woman doesn't fall pregnant within the first month of trying.. on average it takes up to 6months for conception, as every month I think its about 30% chance of conceiving. Thatswithout Implanon. I know how it feels to be desperate to fall pregnant, but do remember that its not aswitch, even for those women that have not used implanon. After Implanon your hormonesare raging, thats why there is increased pre-menstrual symptoms, not forgetting that pre-menstrual and pregnancy symptoms are very similar.
Have a look at the website www.babyhopes.com there is an ovulation calender on there which I found very useful.
Good luck to everyone, dont forget that stress delays conception. |

Hi all
You're not alone! I had my impanon removed on 22nd May, followed by AF on 24th. I was absolutely convinced I had concieved - really sore bbs, REALLY tired, metal mouth etc etc. It seems this is normal after having the thing out and yes, it would have been nice to know before spending out on 8 hpts (yes, 8!) and more importantly getting myself in such a state with worrying.
Try and stay positive, some of the ladies on here have concieved within weeks. Good luck to all of you who are still trying.

| I just wanted you to know that I completely agree with your views on implanon. I have been ttc for two years - had two blighted ovums in that time (have been told both are due to troubles with progesterone levels)! Seems like this is to muchy of a coincidence due to the fact that I fell pregnant a month after taking the pill before implanon ( must of been fertile then)! Really want to wish everyone who is ttc the best of luck - I know how it feels - but please dont let your hope run out - it will happen, just keep trying. |

| Wait until at least day period is due. Buy 2 tests, because if positive u will want to double check... if negative give it a few days if no AF then retest. Good luck... let us know! |
