| i have been off the pill since february and have had my period every month i used to be 28 days before i get my period but now it is 25-26 days and it took just under a week to get it once i came off the pill. i havent lost the weight which i gianed while on the pill, am still active and just wanting to have a family. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| i went off the pill and have only now gotten by period. this is the 12th week. after week 5 i had the blood tests before you get pregnant - checking rubella, std's, liver function, hormone levels, suguar levels. everything was ok except low hormones which proved to be polycystic ovaries. i went to the naturopath last week who has given me some tablets and hopefully my cycle will return to normal in about 3 months. try not to stress, they will turn up. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| i went off the pill 9 weeks ago and have not had a period since, i took two home prgnacy tests and had a test at the doctor they all came up negitive. | i previously went off the pill about 8 weeks ago, and i am loving it.. I lost about three pounds instantly.. I have my libido back, which makes a happy hubby... I am also noticing more energy... Negatives are:: a little acne hair thinning a little But getting off the pill was the best decision i have made...Hey, my body is happy becaue it has only the natural hormones |

| I just went off the pill after my last period. It's been 17 days since my last period. I am trying to get pregnant and my husband and I have a had a bunch of sex. The problem is that I can't tell if my symptoms are pregnancy related or related to my stopping the pill. When my sister got pregnant she said that she could tell before she missed her period b/c she felt electric like shocks in her abdomen and stomach. I am kind of feeling the same thing but no where on the internet is this symptom described. Has anyone else heard this or experienced this? I've taken a pregnancy test but it's negative. | I came off the pill 2 months ago and am yt to have a period. I did 3 pregnancy tests all negative and am now getting frustrated that my periods are yet to start. | I went off the pill three months ago after being on it for about 8 years. Before that I had a Depo Provera injection which gave me a 4 month period, but that's another story!!! I've read online about women who have had many different symptoms after going off the pill, including depression and severe mood swings, aches and pains, and pimples. When I went off it it didn't occur to me that there might be any problems at all! My periods are back to normal, but I've had pimples and very oily skin ever since. It seems like every day I wake up with a few more pimples! I'm 34 years old so I'm hoping this will clear up as by hormones go back to normal! |

| I just went off the pill this week after being on it for almost 10 years. I have HORRIBLE withdrawal symptoms. I woke up this morning with the most severe nausea & dizziness. I also broke out into a bad sweat and had severely blurred vision for about 3 minutes. Scary! And I'm not pregnant. | hi Salisha, i know you wrote this a while back but i've also been on the pill for 4 years, and i too think i may be pregnant. this is my first month off the pill, so we were trying and i have symptoms like nausia, sore boobs, fatigue & insomnia, backach, twinges in lower abdomin, including a few others, but i have now done 4 different preg tests (2 at doc) and they are neg. I'm begining to think i may be imagining all these symptoms, Except for a few that are extremely evident but could also be something else, i suppose all symptoms could be something else; i also want to be preg but when i thought i was i began to get afraid. when i've had scares before i didn't feel like this. i hope you can tell me how you went... |

| The pill doesnt make you have your period - it was designed as a 'lapse period' where your body doesnt take any hormone replacement and because of this you get withdrawal bleeding which they term "period" that is why there are 7 white tablets which are just sugar so that you have 7days of periods and then you stop when you start taking the normal pill again. It is possible to tricycle the tablets which would only make you have your 'withdrawal bleeding' four times a year. When you come off the pill it will make you as you were before. There is no solid evidence to prove that a person that takes the pill will always have better periods once they go off it. |

| I have been on the pill for about 4 years, I think I may be pregnant because I was on antibiotics which make the pill not wprk, and I had sex. After that I have been having all the symptoms, nausia, vomitting, headache, heartburn, everything! so i went off the pill about 4 days ago adn I got my period. so now im not sure if im pregnant. | i have just come off the pill after being on it for 5 yrs. i have been off it for 9 days and after 4 days, i started bleeding heavily, which now has stopped. i also got really bad headaches and moodswings also. i have had unproteced sex since coming off time pill (2 days after) and i done a pregnancy test yesterday, but that came back negative. because it has only been a week since unproteced sex, the nurse said that there still could be a chance that i could be pregnant and to retest in a couple of weeks. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| well i really thing you should have a quick chat with your doctor but im sure its nothing but you just never know when it comes 2 stuff like this and if he/she think's your prengant they will do a blood test | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| i went off the pill 8 weeks ago after taking it for about 8 months. i got my period as normal when i first stopped taking the active pills, but have not had it since. there is a minute chance i could have been pregnant so i took a test which came up negative. i was always irregular before i was on the pill and was just wondering if anyone else found they didn't have normal periods for a while after going of the pill. if you are pregnant when do you start to notice, ie morning sickness, swelling etc. hopefully i am just being paranoid. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
