Re:Implanon and fertility Reply to this message
Hi, Does anyone know how much the implanon affects your overall fertility, im nearly 20 and me and my long term boyfriend dont want to be another set of un-married teenage parents. i had my implanon put in just over 3 months ago and im really worried i may be reducing my chances of having children later on in my life.
I want children more than anything in the world and so does my partner so i would not risk anything that put my fertility in jeopardy. I just want to know If other women have fallen pregnant as soon as the implanon has come out or weather you all had to wait a while or are having difficulty... from what i have read here, no-one is getting lucky quickly! I did all of my research before i had the implant but i want to hear the stats from the horses mouths *excuse the phrase*
Good luck everybody!

Re:Implanon and fertility Reply to this message
Hi.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. I had my implanon removed the end of November, as me and my partner have decided to try for a baby. My periods have never been regular to start off with, and since I had it removed I haven't had a period yet. Is that normal? But we have also been trying to get pregnant too, although I am not yet, I have done numerous test, all being negative. However I have been having symptoms, being sick, sore boobs, feeling bloated.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi,
I had my implant in for 13 months and just had it taken out on 20th November and am planning to try for my second child asap. My doctor told me that as soon as it is removed you can fall pregnant therefore if I didn't want to conceive right away then to use another form of contraception. I had my last period on 15th November so am just waiting to see how long it takes for my cycle to return to normal. When I had the implant in my periods were very irregular. I am really hoping to fall pregnant this cycle however don't want to get my hopes up too much!!! Good luck!

Hi
yes i think is possible to tell you are pregnant after a few days of conception i mean the heavy boobs and constant pee is a big sign but to be on the safe side you better do a home pregnacy test.

Implanon and fertility Reply to this message
Hi

I am new but I had my Implanon removed 12 Oct and my partner and I had a solid week off unprotected sex straight after it was out. I had it out as I kept having periods every 2 weeks in the last 2 months. I had only been on Implanon for 12 months and never took contraception prior to that.

My last period started 2 Oct and since we have had unprotected sex all week since then I have had the heavy uterus feeling and twinges, peeing regularly, my boobs are sore and feel bloated. I have had 2 kids previously but because my periods are irregular and I ovulate all over the place, a couple of things. Can you take a ovulation test after you have ovulated and how early can you tell if you are pregnant. Is it possible to tell if you are pregnant within a few days of conception?

Actually have a thousand questions.....
