Re:Breast Implant Removal & Insertion Reply to this message
Hi Nico,
Your blog was only recently brought to my attention and obviously the issues that you raised were of concern to prompt me to address them immediately as I became aware of your complaint.
I have gone through all communication records and have found no instance of the case as described by yourself. Are you able to provide additional information, i.e your name, who you dealt with specifically at Meditravel, which hospital you had your procedure with and which surgeon? It is company policy that if there are any issues that arise from surgery once clients return to Australia that they are to immediately contact Meditravel and in turn we alert the hospital to rectify the issue (all of our clients are made aware of this procedure when they have booked with us). Your description of the condition of your breasts post-operative would be considered a priority and the hospital where you had this procedure carried out would have been alerted immediately by our staff. As a company we pride ourselves on the support that we provide our clients prior, during and post procedure, if any of our clients find this contrary to their experience it is company protocal to investigate and treat the matter very seriously. In saying this, if what you wrote was in fact your true experience I would encourage you to contact the Director at info@meditravel.com.au, or alternatively call 1300 556 313.

Re:Breast Implant Removal & Insertion Reply to this message
Hi..I have also been wanting to get breast implants for ages now! I have been looking at a number of surgeons and really don't know who to see. The surgeons i have heard good reviews about and looked into are, Dr Ces, Dr Reed at Spring hill, Dr Scamp & Dr.tan (in sydney) If anyone has anything good or bad to say about these surgeons can you please reply to this thread. Also if you have any surgeons you could recommend that would be really appreciated. I would like to see a surgeon at Gold coast or Brisbane if poss, but would travel around Aus if another dr is highly recommended. I want to get natural looking breats..Thanks heaps =)

Re:Breast Implant Removal & Insertion Reply to this message
I have friends and relatives who've been to burnungrad international and am travelling next month with a friend who is also continuing with a procedure also .. our flights were $963 return including taxes and the procedure i am getting $3500(104,000 THB), accomodation between two is reali cheap for the 4 star hotel we're staying at recommended by a friend who stayed there oct last year around about $700 each for 9nights (1 night included stay in your package @ the hospital) our complete travel insurance $152 no excess - passports $208 if u hv not got one - and about $180 for vaccinations and malaria tablets . it all comes to under 6000 ive had 3 consults here in australia before i intend to travel - with dr fleming dr topchian and dr scamp all of whom are quite well known . Yes the only downside is no aftercare when you do come back to aus but that is a risk you choose to take and id expect if people are sensible enough to take proper precautions/follow instructions they should hopefully not encounter any infection or disease of any sort. You have a 5 day check up following the op before you return home too.

Re:Breast Implant Removal & Insertion Reply to this message
Hey there,
Your review caught my eye, I have been doing some research on meditravel as I'm really keen to go over to Phuket for a breast augmentation. How are your implants now and are you happy with them? Did you have any major difficulties other than the obvious after the surgery? Did your friend have a good experience with medi travel also? Your advice would really help me make my decision on where to go... Thanks

Re:Breast Implant Removal & Insertion Reply to this message
Oh yes it was so cheap at first. But after the lop sided boobs wouldn't stop bleeding and ripping, I called meditravel, the Meditravel people didn't want to know about it. In fact they were rude once I was back on Australian land. So I've spent $400 in special scar treatments, and am currently about to get the whole procedure redone, because I look like a freak. No it is not cheaper.

I had my breasts and tummy tuck done through Meditravel.
three months later and I am still bleeding with ugly boobs.
Now I am forking out thousands to get them fixed up. Do not trust Meditravel!

Re:Breast Implant Removal & Insertion Reply to this message
Dr Ces did my breast enlargement one year ago. My breasts look soooo great, really natural. He balanced my boob size and shape, I had medium profile. Two of my friends also had their boobs done by him and they still rave about him. I only wish I had gone a little bigger as we are always comparing!!! You cant see the scars! His price depends on if you need an uplift, my mums friend had an uplift by Dr Ces 6 months ago and they look great. My mum is having an uplift by Dr Ces later this year. He does his surgery in Brisbane and has a beautiful recovery apartment, see his website. He is very passionate about his work, definitely see Dr Ces for a consultation :-)

Re:Breast Implant Removal & Insertion Reply to this message
I'm going through the same thing, and i cant stop crying. I feel so much shame. I'm not sure if i want to replace them either, but I'm scared about the way they will look if i don't. If i could give any advice to people that want them, it would be to love there natural body's as they are. They are causing me a lot of pain, and they are deforming. I am looking for my solution, but have not come to one. I feel stuck.

Re:Breast Implant Removal & Insertion Reply to this message
HI- i actually went to see Dr Layt today- and i can say im not 100% on him his bedside manner is not the greatest, also i felt my consult was rushed i didn't get to ask the questions i wanted to in the half hour i was appointed, i will be seeing dr campbell next week and will make my decision from there- but i don't think it will be Dr Layt!

Re:Breast Implant Removal & Insertion Reply to this message
Hi, i just read your post (early last year) about going to see Dr Layt for an appointment and i was wondering if you decided to go with him and if so, are you happy with the results. My mum (3yrs ago) and a friend (1yr ago) went with Dr Layt, and are very happy, but i am taking my time to do as much research as possible. You can only learn so much before you really have to start talking to people about their person experience. I havn't yet heard any bad news about Dr Layt.
Thanks

Deanne

Hello,
I also need removal of my breast implants. Did you have any success? I am finding it difficult to find someone (preferably a woman) who specializes in removal of implants & the capsule. Any help would be greatly appreciated, :)

Hi,
I am considering a breast enlargement and wondered if anyone knows of a good surgeon in Brisbane. I have heard from a few people that Dr Scott Ingram is good based at the Mater? Anyone heard of him? :o)

Re:Breast Implant Removal & Insertion Reply to this message
Hi ,

I went to Malaysia for Breast Augmentation and Tummy Tuck with Health Horizon Holidays. For me it was worth it, I paid around AUD$10,000 but I didnt have to worry aobut anything once I got there. So I guess you have to make your own decision but for me I think it was well worth everything. GOOD LUCK!

Re:Breast Implant Removal & Insertion Reply to this message
Destiny MediTravel owner Melanie Bawden didn't think to use another email address when she pretended to do a glowing review of her own company. It ruins any credibility.
