Hi,
I am considering a breast enlargement and wondered if anyone knows of a good surgeon in Brisbane. I have heard from a few people that Dr Scott Ingram is good based at the Mater? Anyone heard of him? :o) |

Hi ,
I went to Malaysia for Breast Augmentation and Tummy Tuck with Health Horizon Holidays. For me it was worth it, I paid around AUD$10,000 but I didnt have to worry aobut anything once I got there. So I guess you have to make your own decision but for me I think it was well worth everything. GOOD LUCK! |

| Destiny MediTravel owner Melanie Bawden didn't think to use another email address when she pretended to do a glowing review of her own company. It ruins any credibility. |

| My friend and I are more than happy and we know other girls he has operated on that look hot. Dr Ces Colagrande, does amazing work, his attention to detail is incredable. I wanted more cleavage and a perky look but my friend wanted a natural look. He spends the time going over what you personaly want. He is based on the Gold Coast,Mermaid beach. Definately have a consultation with him before you make a decision, he will show you many before and after photos of his work during the consultation and will be honest of what can be done and not mess you around... |

| I had my implants done by Dr Flemming 2 years ago and would not recommend him he did not help me make an informed decision on shape and size and i no 3 other girls that are also not happy with there result and his service. I have seen great work by him but im not shaw of his consistency. I have heard great things about Dr Downie and Dr Scamp at the gold coast and will be concidering either of them when i get mine redone next year. good luck with your search. |

| Me and my friend had our boob jobs done by Dr Ces Colagrande. We went and saw a number of surgeons on the Gold Coast and Dr Ces really stood out. He took the time to listen to what we wanted. He was not the cheapest but definately not the most expensive. You pay for what you get and Dr Ces results are amazing our boobs look great, we are more than happy!!!! |

If you fly overseas to have a medical procedure done just because its cheap you are stupid.
You have no on going after care once you get back in australia, it will cost you if you develop an infection and in the end it all works out the same anyway.
Thai Boob JOb: 4000
Airfares:$1679.01 per flight return
One week accomodation after the boob job: 1050.00
totals $6700. Really not that much cheaper.
I didnt include the correctivesurgery & all the medication for the infections you will get but im sure that will soar over 10000 |

| Vist meditravel.com.au website it has all the info and contact information for having them done in thailand. People should not say bad things about thailand medical unless they have had it as they are above most of the standard of DOCs in australia and they crap about second hand implants is just that crap they use mentor same as in the us and australia |

| Kuala Lumpar has great surgeons from Oz Uk and USA and also get their implants from UK or USA.Its costs slightly more there than in Thailand but they have some hospitals which have to be of international standards. They also have the holiday packages and fantastic reviews. |

Hello. I went to Dr David Campbell in November of 2001 to have my implants done. To this date - I am absolutely thrilled with the results. I know that at the time, my whole operation came in at around $10,500. This may seem excessive compared to the low cost procedures that are offered at the Gold Coast or even Thailand, but it was not about the cost factor for me. I wanted to fully research this before doing it and am very glad I did. I was referred to Dr David Campbell via my family GP as he is a trusted and reputable plastic surgeon who mainly specialises in breast reductions. I opted for the cohesive silicon gel implants. I went from an A cup to a full C (after being a small C to start off with, breast feeding took it's toll and I was left with sagging lifeless breasts that really played havoc on my self esteem, not to mention that I lived in horrible padded bra's!)
But honestly - do not look for the "cheapest" option... Use a referred plastic/cosmetic surgeon and you'll never look back!Dr David Campbell is very thorough and professional.
Good luck! |

| I highly recommend Dr Craig Layt. I met with quite a few surgeons before putting my trust in Dr Layt. He is an amazing surgeon. I had a face lift, nose job, lip injections & breast implants. He left me with absolutely no bruising which blew me away. I bruise extremely easy & was amazed to wake up from surgery with nothing more than some swelling. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have surgery done. I am also returning to him in June for an abdominoplasty & possibly liposuction. He is an excellent surgeon & a very honest person. If something cannot be done due to medical reasons, he will be very up front & inform you. Eg: I was due to have my abdominoplasty at the same time as my other procedures. He informed me that under no circumstance am I to smoke for a certain period of time before my surgery. Due to nerves, and even though I didn't smoke for 2 weeks prior to the operation, I did have 1 smoke the night before. He refused to perform the abdominoplasty & I had to rebook it. He is very adamant about the safety of his patients & his concerns for your well-being far out-weigh any financial gain. Once again, thank you for taking the time to read my response & I wish you all the best in your quest to be happy. |

| darling dont venture off to thailand as it will cost you more money in the long run The surgeons often use second rate implants and will only last 6 months There is also a higher risk of infection It is possible to get a breast augmentation in australia for only $10,000 why bother going to these second rate countries |

Hi,
I'm actually contemplating getting my boobs done(bigger) a bit later down the track. I'm a c cup at the moment, i don't want to go up a cup stay the same cup size- just a bigger c but i'm not sure they do that? Do you actually have to go up a cup size to even get them done? Also,I was wondering as far as actually getting the actual breast implants done, whether you have to go back and get them "touched up"again every 5-10years as i was told you more than likely will have to. I know it costs around about $8,500 to have it done, so i was wanting to know if you do actually have to get them retouched up every so many years, and if each time you do go back whether you have to keep paying the $8,500?? If thats the case, seems a hell of a lot of money if you ask me.
I mean if that's what i will have to pay each time i go back and get them touched up, i am not sure it will seem worth getting it done to me. |

| I had silicone implants by Dr Paul Downie approximately 22 years ago. I had never become part of the Slater and Gordon class action suite that took place. I'm sorry that I didn't because now I have recently found out by Ultra Sound that my right breast is leaking the tear is 4 cm. The reason I went and got the Ultra Sound is that my left breast was feeling uncomfortable. I was shocked to hear that the right one was leaking. I have read all sort of things on the internet about health problems related to silicone leakage and it is quite frightening. I believe the new implants are stronger than the old ones. I can't remember ever being advised that they would need to be replaced or would rupture. I have not had any accidents or impact to the area. I have contacted Dr Downie's office and may have them replaced in the near future. I am weighing up the pros and cons of having silicone again. I have not come to a decision yet. |
