as i said before i had them and to alieviate the pain the doctor told me to use buscopan. its a muscle relaxing tablet in which stops the gall bladder from spasm. takes around ten minutes to work dosnt harm the baby. i used them till bubs was born , from 5 months pregnant then had the surgery to remove gall bladder and stones, laparoscopy surgery.then keep away from spicy, fatty, acid foods as it cannot break down.

hey....when I was 4 months pregnant I was told I had galstones too but after doin an ultrasound I found out that I had a swelling in that area (well a little above my kidney r something) it was probably due to the fact that that was the position of the baby so i felt pressured and I couldn't even eat without getting puffy and feel like something was sticking the life out of me. Did u do an ultra sound? if u did then i read that women are likely to develop this due to fatty fodds and stuff ao you might wanna cut down on those types of food...I hope you're gonna be ok

here is some advice for you girls. i had gallstones when i was 5 months pregnant.thought i was having a heart attack.i was told they wouldnt operate till i had bubs it was safer then, and to relieve the pain which isnt harmful to bubs was buscopan..worked wonders. in 10 mins of taking it pain would go.after the op ( stones and gall bladder removed) that i was to avoid pastries, spicy food, fatty food, acid fruits and foods and alcohol and is wouldnt be digested properly and give indegestion.

I am 4 1/2 mths pregnant have been just diagnosed with gallstones also. I have been real fortunate because I haven't had alot of pain yet with mine, mostly real bad indigestion. I have received a diet from my doctor of foods to eat and to avoid. It's really blah, but it does seem to help. The foods that make me the most uncomfortable are raw fruits and veggies and greasy foods. I have also been trying to find info about gallstones while your pregnant and I haven't found many sources. I've basically found out that pregnant women are prone to get gallstones and that surgery is suggested after the baby is born. I'd like find more diet info. Any ideas?

My doctor told me nothing for 2 months while trying to figure out why I thought my liver was going to explode the blood tests all come back as gallstones and I had already told her that my sister (a nurse) had stones while she was pregnant with her 2nd child. I think she thought I was crazy until they for at least 3 stones in me!! My doctor said I cant have the surgury until after I have the baby in Aug and told me nothing about pain relif. It was my sister that said tylenol can help and since its safe during prgnancy I am going to try it next time I can fill it coming on.

Hi I'm not pregnant but have gallstones. I have found that eating radishes will alleviate even the worst of pains. Two or three will bring relief within ten minutes. There have been times when I thought this is it I can't hold out this calls for a trip to the hospital, but the trusty radish saved the day ( night actually) I have had my husband digging in the garden 5 am for radishes that might be left growing. ( He makes sure I have some in the fridge always now)

You are not alone. I am 4 1/2 months pregnant and found out I have gallstones. I just got back from seeing a surgeon and he said I cant have my gallbladder taken out until the baby is born. He said it can cause preterm labor or even worse problems. All he said was to stay away from fatty foods, but I get pains even when I eat certain fruits. Did your doctor give you any suggestions on what you can eat to not get the pains?

Hi. Im new here but I had gallstone with my 2nd baby. I thought I was having a heart attack. Mine did get diagnosed till after baby was born. But I had the pan from about 6mths, they just told me it was the baby. I ended up having my galbladder out when he was 4 months old. They told me to drink milk for heart burn!!! Made it worse. Just go see your doctor and see what they think.
