Ok first of all, tell your neighbours to get a life - this is a dog we are talking about and it is to be expected for crying/howling/yelping when their owners go out of the house.
How old is your Jack Russell?
To be honest, I haven't had experience with that particular breed, but our Cavoodle puppy which we bought home two weeks ago (Charlie is 10 weeks old now) is getting used to being left alone now, but naturally still cries when we leave the house to go to work or even on the weekends when i have to go grocery shopping. He also cries when i put him in his bedroom (laundry) to sleep. Originally i had him in our room (for the first week and a half as he was still adjusting to the change of being away from his littermates and his mother) and of course he cries and howls sometimes as he doesn't want to sleep alone, but again this is something that he will get used to over time. You need to expect her to cry if you leave the house. I grew up with a female toy poodle and she used to cry when we would leave her at home to go out somewhere. She did that as a puppy and as a matured dog. It's just the connection that they have with people i guess.
Does your Jack Russell sleep alone at night or close to you? |

| My Jack Russell screaches loudly for hours after we go out or return from a outing, upsetting the nieghbours and the street, thinking she has hurt herself, but only wants human contact. |
