| My partner and i recently moved out of his mothers house where my 10 month old spoodle, Leroy had been an outside dog, with my mother in laws 2 dogs as constant companions. His taken the move alot better then i expected his now an inside dog and has either my partner or i home with him nearly constantly but we do need to go out sometimes and i don't want to leave him indoors, here lies the problem. Our neighbors have a large nasty dog who would eat Leroy if given the chance, however this has not discouraged Leroy from trying to dig a tunnel under the fence to play because he thinks all dogs are friends not foes and if his not digging a tunnel his racing back and forth on his worn in track along the fence line whining excitedly, which in turn causes the other dog to jump on the fence madly barking and growling. Once in this excited state he will ignore all commands to come or stop, then starts the great chase to catch him and drag him back inside i've even tried using food to get him to come he stops and looks at me for a second before deciding to continue. I don't want to come home to a empty back yard! How do i stop him from doing this? So i can safely leave him outside when i'm not home, any suggestions would be great. |
