Gday if you feed tin dog food to your dog then that is bad,as tin food is not good,as its the old, cancer ridden, sick, you name it,they put it in for dog food, the best is fresh meat, and bones, from the butcher, not canned food never canned food,if you will not eat it then dont feed it to your dog,and as that staffies can be fussy, but I tell you never buy tin food unless you intend to eat it yourself, but dont as it is poison, and should never be fed to anything, there is nothing better than fresh meat and bones, your dog will love it,and yes it is more expencive to feed your dog fresh meat, but that dog if it loves you will do anything for you,so feed it fresh meat, and if you wish then fresh mince with cooked rice, mix the cooked rice with the fresh meet do not cook it,as fresh is best,my dogs are very healthy and so happy, and yes it costs more to feed, but I would not have it any other way,as I love my dogs, and they love me,cause I give them the best, and train them well.

Its definitely not to do with his gums. I'v been brought up with chihuahua's - they genetically have problem teeth so that was the first thing I looked at. He's got the healthiest gums and teeth i'v ever seen on a dog!! Thanks for the suggestion though :)

How old is your dog? It could be coming from his stomach, as in the food that you are feeding.Premium dog biscuits such as Hill's Science Diet,Eukanuba,Advance are the best that you can feed your dod.Science diet comes in a range that includes;oral care, sensitive skin, sensitive stomach. For your dog,I would look at using oral care, doesn't have to be Science diet, but I have found this product the best.Any premium biscuit that comes in oral care should be ok.There are lots of things to check for,eg are his stools runny or normal?By using a premium food,it is a whole complete balanced diet & you don't have to feed anything else.It seems more expensive, but works out cheaper in the long run,& a lot healthier for your dog.

I would take him/her to the vet anyway - it could be gingivites. I just had both my dogs done and they lost a few teeth and they both had gingivites. Make sure you give raw bones so it cleans his/her teeth. I am guilty as charged for not giving enough bones.

Hi All. I have a staffordshire terrier with a bit of a stinky breath problem. I've checked his teeth and there is no build up of tartar (infact, they're pristine white!) so I KNOW it has nothing to do with his teeth. Can anyone give me some ideas as to what it is from?? Is it just that we're feeding him too much meat??
