Chocolate is poisonous to dogs, as are sultanas/raisins/ grapes. (Maybe the bars the dog is eating are cheap and have little actual chocolate content.) Also onions are bad for dogs, over time.

The sugar content of chocolate also can cause horrendous health problems for dogs, as they have no capacity in their systems for coping with sugar. It is not a natural part of a carnivores diet.

what do you do Reply to this message
i have a bassett hound called thumper,all i can say is he is as mad as a cut snake, and my daughters staffy can eat a 500gr chocolate bar and encounter no problems, our dogs are something to be seen to be believed
