Just never feed a cat onion. My friends housemate did and her cat got sick and nearly died because onion is toxic to them. The cat was in ICU for a week

I am not sure about that, kittens organs are still growing but maybe you could ask a veterinarian about the best diet for kittens.

Having said that, for grown cats a friend of mine worked as a vet assistant for years and she recommends fresh meat, which you can buy from any supermarket or pet supply, chopped with chopped parsley and grated carrot. She also feeds her cats fresh sardines. I think cat food in a tin is pretty yukko. Not very fresh.

My own cat eats kangaroo mince, which is plentiful here!
She also always has fresh water and a small bowl of quality dry food - I find that hill's science diet is good, although is only found at pet stores.

Be aware that any processed dry food will require fresh water and is not recommended as the sole source of food due to the effect it can have on the animals kidneys.

Happy cat parenting!
Your kitten will no doubt provide hours of entertainment.
P.S. I have a Norwegian Forest Cat.

I would be careful, just because a cats digestive system is different to a humans and it may have allergies that havent developed yet.

Cat diet Reply to this message
We have a new 3 months old ragdoll kitten which will eat almost anything. things it loves and asks for more include most fruits like pineapple, avaccardo, rock melon, grapes, broccoli, carrots, beans etc. about the only thing it will not eat is banana. Is this ok for a cat. It has its proper dry kitten food and wet food as well.
