| Mel and all, Yeah feeling physically pretty good, no painkillers needed until about an hour ago so that's a good sign. Just a bit teary from the anesthetic, usual for me though, and getting more angry that I didn't get my 6mls. I will deal with that when I see the doc in Wednesday though. I hope all is well with you. Julie messaged me this morning on her way to hospital, she'd be still in theatre or just getting into recovery now. fingers crossed she gets the results she wants. Pyretta |

| Glad to hear you are home and well. A bit frustrating about the amount of fill. I totally understand what you are saying, being another 4 weeks until your next fill! When you have been waiting for so long, every second feels like an eternity. My port was stapled in the second time. Perhaps it is because ours had not stayed in place and they wanted to be extra careful? Who knows. Take care. fee |

| Glad it all went well for you :) Stapled in place??? Wow, never heard of that. Maybe because it filpped first time and they're not taking any chances?? Sweetie if your tummy's anything like mine, you would have to hunt among the stretch marks to find your extra long scar anyway, LOL! 5mil is better than nothing, and you'll be back in for a fill in no time, stress of the surgery and whot not, you'll possibly be glad its only 5 in the next few days:) As Mr Pithon said, 'always look on the bright side of life, whistle, whistle whistlewhistle, teeheehee!! | Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I'm back home new port and resting well with my family around. I promised the gory details so if you're squeamish click out now. Checked in at 6:45am this morning and finally got into theatre at about 10:20 am, second on Paul's list. Because I hadn't been able to have a drink my veins were a bugger to find and they failed on their first 2 attempts. The bruises are wonderful and will be posted on facebook when I'm up to it. Paul came in did the surgery and I was back in recovery by 11:20am. while in recovery i was given 2 panadol and very surprised that they went down with no drama. Paul came in and told me the op had gone well, BUT he'd only put 5ml in my band (so now I know why the pills went down). He also had to extend the port scare further toward my side and has placed the port in a raised position well off to the left of where it was previously as there was too much scar tissue to place it back there He also stated that is is stapled into place (I've never heard of that before). I've got a follow up appointment with him in 7 days but for now I have white padded waterproof dressings that look a lot like gaffa tape taking up well over 1/3 of my stomach. I've never seen a dressing like it and it too will be up on face book in a few days. I'm still feeling a little groggy but the painkillers are working well. I can't wait to see the incision itself, but that's a few days off yet. Pyretta |

| Pyretta I have been thinking about you this week but the days have somehow got away without me posting. I want to wish you all the best for tomorrow. You know you are in good hands, and I just hope for you that this will be the turning point you so deserve. Here's to smooth sailing from here on in! LOL I also want to say best of luck for a smooth journey and recovery for Julie, who is flying interstate for her plastics tomorrow. Being operated on on Friday. Julie and I first met just prior to her lap banding and has been very successful with her weight loss journey. I have no doubt her plastics are going to polish the job.
