| Hi Apple, I understand what you are saying. As I said, Freo was only a suggestion. Also, three of the regular NOR attendees will not be available this year, which is another reason I suggested maybe having it SOR this year, but SOR does not necessarily have to be Freo. I was really only wanting to gauge interest, as Vicki is not our social secretary (sad face) any longer and if we don't try to organize something now, we may miss out. K |

| K it was not a change your plans, you asked why I had said what I said and I just told you is all. Hey I am south of the river just most people are north of the river and I kind of figure that the 2 biggest attended events we seem to have each year ie this and the christmas party might be easier for the few to do the traveling rather than the majority if that makes sense. BUT I can not stress enough it was just my thoughts in no way was it change your venue to suit me, I will work around it if I can if not I will be there the following year :) applesauce |

| Freo was only a suggestion and I was really only looking at expressions of interest. I don't know about the public transport issue, and I am sure we can work something out re venue and / or transport, but the reason about it being a pain to get to for all those North of the River people - what about all the things that are held North of the River that the South of the River people attend - is that not a pain for them to get to?? But some of us still attend things regardless of where they are held. Sorry - I am not intending to be snipey, but that reason just will not hold water with me. Surely there can be a balance. That is all I was intending in suggestion this years Melbourne Cup Lunch be a SOR event. I know you can not please all of the people all of the time, but, as I said, it was just a suggestion. K |

| Hiya all, with tomorrow's GT at Joondalup's Pause Cafe, I had posted up a time of 12pm. I have been asked to do a kindy roster morning, so won't be leaving until 11:30am and from further away....and as it's I think about a 2 hour trip, I hope to be there at 1:30pm? Sorry if this mucks up anyones plans, but I owe my little one. Jen |

I would like an expression of interest (only at this stage) of numbers if I were to organize a lunch in the Fremantle area this year. We had Hillary's in 2007 and East Perth 2008, so thought maybe Fremantle way this year. Maybe the Esplanade if they are having a luncheon. So any suggestions as well would be good - but we need to start thinking about it now so we can book. | Are you or a friend of yours pregnant? I am currently doing my Postgraduate Midwifery Diploma at Curtin Uni. As a requirement of the course I need to do a continuity of care case with a pregnant lady. This means attending antenatal appts, education classes, the labour and birth, and do a postnatal followup. The lady must be less than 35 weeks pregnant, be low risk (ie no complications of pregnancy or illness) and is planning to have a normal birth (ie no c/section). If you would like to share your experience with a very enthusistic an supportive midwifery student, or know of someone who may be interested, please email: kerri.warner@postgrad.cur tin.edu.au SOR would be great, but NOR ok also.
