| Hi Gerry, I am not so sure about the Bundy people meeting up as i live in Maryborough. In Mbro we meet up and have coffee when ever we can. Also i know the Gladstone Bandits meet up too. Steve org *** es that up his way. Maybe if you pop over to the other site you may catch others from Bundy to sort out a meet up. Wow all of you banded must be a great support for you all. | Hi Tina, Can I ask do the Bundy Bandits ever get together for a coffee and chat? We, my hubby, daughter and I were banded in April and May and it would be great to meet up with other local bandits and chat and even learn from their experiences. Best wishes, Gerry |

| Hi Josephine, Glad to hear you have chosen to have the lapband surgery. I am only a new bandit having my surgery on the 16th April, and so far am doing just fine. My daughter 20yrs also was banded the same day as me and we caused quite a stir on the ward of being the mother and daughter who had just had lapband surgery. LOL. My husband is also going to have the surgery and has a temp date of the 21st of May, as he needs to go on the cpap machine for 3 weeks prior to the surgery and another 5 weeks after the surgery. Dr de Lacy is doing the surgery. We apparently are quite rare as a family to be banded and many of the people on the forum have done a blog site of their journeys as a lapband patient. I too have started my own and if this helps you in anyway please feel free to go and have a look and a read. | Hi Everyone, Just letting you know I have set up a new community site for Lap Bander's in Australia. I was banded last week, and decided to use my week off from work to put together a site to bring all the different groups together and to thank all the support groups for their advice during my pre-op stage. | Hi pinkbuni247, We met at the seminar last night, my daughter Hayley is the same age as you, and I think I would be around your mum's age. Hayley, George and I are having our first consultation next Wed afternoon. I wanted to let you know that like my daughter you also have a very pretty face and would look absolutely beautiful and more healthy for having the surgery. Would love to keep in contact with both yourself and your mum, and maybe Hayley and yourself could support each other as your experience will be different to we oldies LOL. | Please try and do all you can for this cause. It is such a sad time for everyone. :O( My thoughts and prayers are with all the families who have lost everything. Please try and do your bit to help.... If you shop at Coles please wait till Friday, as Coles is donation all profits for the day, to the Bush Fire Appeal. Also i think??? | Thanks so much for that Tina. I saw an ad for the seminar today so my Mum and I will probably be going to that! But it's great to see everyone on here sharing their stories, it makes it alot easier to find out about the procedure and hear all the experiences people have. I also spoke to somebody over the weekend who has had it done - very good to hear about it face to face and chew her ear off! Thanks again! |

Fee free ring Dr DeLacy's rooms and get the dates as they are happing this month all around. Also i just wanted to share with everyone that i was banded for 1 year yesterday.
