Re:NSV's Reply to this message
I have some brand new size 12 jeans in my cupboard that have been hanging there never worn for 6+ years (i bought them without trying them on)......well, today i pulled them out of the cupboard, slid them on and zipped them up!! THEY FINALLY FIT!!!!!!
It has been one hell of a journey and I'm not there yet, but it felt great!!
YAAY, I can finally wear the jeans that i fell in love with all those years ago. Another good thing is that they have come back into fashion (well, i hope they have!)

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
Today I picked up my uniform pants after having them altered (hemmed) and the lady told me she had to take the zip out because it was sitting funny. I discovered when I put them on that she had accidentally sewn the fly shut - no worries!!!They still went up without undoing the zip. YAY that means my hips are skinnier, these pants have been too tight since they were new. When I get her to fix them up I might have to ask for an alteration to waist as well.

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
It's great to hear from other horsey people. Maybe we should start a 'getting back in the saddle' thread lol. Staceyfrombullengarook is another bandit that posts on this forum, she's a very keen rider. I'd love to hear more about your horses gemini. I too am desperate to ride again but have lost all my confidence I think.

Cheers,

Jan

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
Hi jan, im sorta near Forbes. Its good cause our national show is in Dubbo so i dont have far to travel, only 1 hr and 45 mins. I too desperately want to start riding again, i really lost my nerve after my fall and then the last time i rode i just felt so top heavy, like m ihad no balance, im assuming its because ive gotten so heavy, so im really I can lose a good 40 kilos aswell (good job by the way) and get back in the saddle!!

That's why I bought a Clydesdale lol. I used to ride thoroughbreds but I felt like a hippo on a broomstick! (poor horses)

Well done. You should be proud of yourself. I must admit I never do it. I now know why - it's impossible.

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
I know I know - it is truely exciting. I still wear size 18 jeans, but to get a size 16 joddy is just brilliant. Can't wear the shirts yet, can wear the rugby tops and t's, but not the shirt, about 5 kilos from that I would think.

HI Felice

Great with the jeans - I think it takes a while for our heads to catch up with the weight loss but I am loving going into normal shops Jacqui E, Sussan and being able to look albeit at the larger sizes there buy hey its all good. Not for the bank balance but a wonderful boost for our selfesteem.

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
Felice, straight off to Target for the most wonderful choice of jeans that you will find, and at a very good price as well. You will still continue to go down in size and with winter coming, you will be thrilled at the great choices you will have there.

Good on you!

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
Felice, I am another one who would love to wear jeans - REAL jeans, no elastic in site! For years I have worn the lycra-added trousers that let's your stomach get bigger and bigger without zips and buttons popping! So congratulations!!!!!!!!!! !
