I had a NSV over the weekend - whenever I would drive my friends car I would always have to adjust the seat back but not this time, I jumped in and was driving a while before I realised that I didnt need to adjust the seat.. I was wrapt!!

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
Today I have experienced the greatest NSV in my life. I rode my horse for the first time in YEARS. I have not been able to bring myself to ride because of my weight gain over the last 10 years or so. When I was a rider, I guess I was no feather weight at about 95kgs but as I ballooned to 130kgs, I lost all my confidence and my poor horse became an expensive pet. When I got banded 2.5 years ago I promised myself that I would send Ruby (hence my nickname here) to a good trainer and have her re educated. Off she went 2 weeks ago and today I put on my very baggy jodphurs and went out to see her and have a ride.

She was perfect, so was I lol!

Love to all!

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
Woo Hoo - today I conquered the cross trainer at the gym - 15 minutes without stopping!!! A huge achievement for me - when I started at the gym 2 weeks ago I couldn't do 5 minutes without feeling like I was going to collapse and not being able to go on!!!!

Isn't it funny how such small personal achievements mean so much???

Have a great day

Cheers

Arn xx

I was at a training seminar the other day and we had to decide what face shape everybody had. The trainer said to me " You definitely are a square face: see the strong well defined jaw line."
Not so soft and padded now.

Hi Julgem55,

Congrats on reaching double digits - what a great achievement!!!! I was so excited a couple of weeks ago when I reached it that I couldn't contain myself.

Enjoy the moment and the downhill journey.

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
ididitforme..haha i can totally relate to the style of clothing.
Happened last week to me in a Rivers Superstore. Bought a few size 12 things but 3 size 10 tops fitted me. Had a bit of a quiet chuckle to myself.

Another NSV (was Mum's beauty secret) is I don't have to press my tongue up on the roof of my mouth to make my chin dissapear for photo's. Can now smile normally with just one chin.
Oh and this summer i can finally go to water aerobics with my friend who's been bugging me to go for the last 2years.

Best part of having the band are all the little things. All the NSV's :)

Happy w/end everyone,

Lulu

Re:NSV's Reply to this message
I went shopping with a g/friend where they sell designer clothes, I thought, ok, I will have a look.

some nice clothes with some nice prices. I went to try a dress on and the lady said to me, go down in one size they are quite large.

Ok. I took a 14 with me and it was toooo big...

(I think it was the style but it still felt good) hehee

Oh2bthiner... that was such a milestone for me. Size 18 normal anything was just the best! I am now in size 14 skinny Target jeans... and I feel fabulous getting there.

No more plus size for you... wooo hooo.... be proud of how well you have done! It is the little things.. and the secret smiles we give ourselves that help us along the way.
