Walking through the entrance 'gates' at work and not having to turn sideways. Not sure what they are called, but I work in the public serviced and its where you swipe your card and they open up - much like the things you go through at a train station.

I had a massage yesterday from a lovely lady in Beaconsfield, first one ever, it was so relaxing that i have booked one for every 2nd week. I will share the massage with my daughter so we will get one each, once a month. I would never in the past have felt comfortable getting my clothes off for anyone.

Hi Guys and Gals,
Haven't posted in here for quite a while, but have had a few NSV's this last week.
1st we have a new boat on order and will be able to take our adult children biscuiting, so have been looking at wake vests, well didn't have my daughter with me but we are roughly the same size and tried on a size 16 yes that's the largest ladies size vest they sell and wow it fitted, was snug but it fitted yah.
2nd have gone for a couple of longer walks this week and shock I'm not puffed anymore and when we actually measured the distances in the car, we had walked 4.5klms. Gosh I can remember thinking I can't be bothered to walk 200mtrs because my feet, hips and back would be so sore. Now it's a breeze and no pain at all.
And lastly today went into millers and bought a size 16 pair of white crop pants, would never have worn white before as I always thought I looked hideous in white, black was my colour to hide the fat.
Whilst I was there I also bought 2 lovely t shirts, and OMGosh size 14, I have not worn size 14 since I was about 22yrs old and I'm now nearly 47, I love love my band and the changes it has made in my life, and also my beautiful daughter down 28kgs and my hubby down almost 20kgs.
Look out summer here we come wahoooo!!!!!
Hope everyone else gets just as excited with their NSV's like I do lol.

Not sure if I feel eligible to post yet, as I haven't even got a date for surgery, but I did have an NSV moment anyway (probably as a result of all your inspirational stories)
I was driving past some of the rivers/canals here on the Sunshine Coast when I thought to myself that maybe next year I could get a kayak/canoe and the children and I could have some fun. Right now I would sink it if I even got in it whilst providing huge amusement to anyone watching -- but I realised that with the help of the band and this huge family you all seem to be ---- I might be able to join life again and suddenly I had that ellusive thing called HOPE back -- and to me that was a big big big NSV. |

Oh Kel - that's too funny!!!
Even your little 2 year old know I shouldn't be wearing a belly chain! LOL!
They are as quick as lightning aren't they??? I have a 2 of them under 3.5 years old and my head spins daily with what they manage to get up to in a blink of an eye - maybe when I shift the rest of this weight I'll be quick enough to intercept 'em!!!

I can't believe I might have a NSV already (banded 11 days now and total of 10.7kg down) and this is gonna sound so weird I know.....
My belly-button has gone back to a cute, round little circle! When I had the extra 10+kg of fat pulling down on my tummy my belly-button had become this vertical slit on my tummy.
I mentioned it to hubby and he said another 10kg and I should get it pierced and wear a belly-chain!
HARDLY!!! But I am so happy to have a 'normal belly-button' back...
Okay.....is this the weirdest NSV???

Hi All, I took an old work Black Jacket Size 14 to the Dry Cleaners last week. I had a function at Ethiad Stadium on Friday and had bought a summer top to wear. It was cold on Friday, so thought i try on my Black Jacket, well it fitted fine, just couldn't do up the buttons which didn't matter cause it looked Hot according to the other girls on the table. Very Happy with myself at the moment even though i'm am stuck on a plateau and still have 15 kilos to loose. Louise

Hi all, 2 days till my bandversary. went shopping yesterday for something to wear to a morning wedding next weekend. Bought a size 14 bottom and a 16 top. Shop lady tried to sell me 14 top, but i thought it pulled to much across the boobies lol. I am so pleased with that. A year ago I was buying size 24-26 tops and size 22-24 bottoms. Starting weight pre opti was about 137kgs now 90kgs. Best thing i have done for my self for a long time. ohh yes bought 2 new bra's 16dd, down from a 22dd.

I did the 1000 steps in the Dandenong Ranges on Sunday, although it is actually 700+, I think some have sunk down into the ground over the years.

well done to everyone these are all exciting for each of you its one of the best threads to read always makes you feel good when you read the excitement in the posts with everyones achievements xxx
i have one too today i have done 22,700 steps and so thrilled did 10k's on the tready throughout the day plus the usual carer's n house chores so for me its a biggy and i still have energy left rofl
to think 2 years ago almost to the day i was housebound with chronic pain and could barely walk I kinda cant believe it
still have the pain but being a normal weight for the first time in my life has made the pain more manageable
so keep going everyone and aim for the things you never thought you would or could ever do cause I know you all can achieve your dreams
hugs to all
